The original name of the chair is Inception Chair(Beginning) - suggests that inspiration came to designer Vivian Chiu after watching the Hollywood film of the same name starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The idea of the multidimensionality of layers of existence, where you can get to the next layer only from the previous one, found its reflection in the unusual design of an ordinary wooden chair.
From some angles it's even hard to determine how it's constructed! In fact, everything is very simple, like a matryoshka doll, like this:
10 identical chairs, one smaller than the other, are attached to each other using small grooves. The smallest copy will fit the doll.
All parts of the original chair can be easily disassembled and assembled together.
