They should be placed at a distance of twenty centimeters from the straight line. It is at this distance that we need to draw perpendicular segments down. These will be the armholes. If you want your clothes to be more spacious or you need a larger size, then slightly increase the distance between the sleeves, make it fifty centimeters or more. The sleeves are cut out as simply as the coat itself. They are rectangles. The width of each rectangle is sixty centimeters (do not forget about the additional one and a half centimeters on both sides, necessary as seam allowances). The length of these rectangles will be approximately fifty-five centimeters (calculated by measuring the distance from the wrist to the middle line of the back, the arm must be taken to the side, minus one half of the distance from one armhole to the second). In the event that you want the sleeves to have a lapel, then the rectangles need to be made somewhat longer, taking into account the width of this lapel. If desired, you can narrow the lower part of the sleeves a little.The same type of coat can be sewn even more simply.The basis of the pattern in this case is a square.
