An improvised scratching post is made quitesimple and at minimal cost. First, insulation for heating pipes of the required diameter (sold in construction stores), pre-cut lengthwise, is put on the table legs.
After installation, the cut is secured with adhesive tape.or in another way (use your imagination). After that, a thick string is wound over the insulation and secured at the top and bottom with the same adhesive tape or just glue.
The result is a scratching post that doesn’t take up space and doesn’t spoil the interior.After some time, when the cat has torn the string a lot, it should be replaced with a new one.
