Master class on knitting a pullover with braidsand raglan sleeves To knit a stylish pullover with your own hands, you need to stock up on the following: - undyed yarn (2% nylon thread, 98% baby alpaca, density - 125m / 100g) - 6 (6) 7 skeins; - circular knitting needles No. 7, the length of which is equal to sixty centimeters; - knitting needles No. 7 and No. 8. Our lesson provides data for size options: S / M (M / L) L (X / L). The length of the work will be 44 (47) 50 centimeters, and the width in girth - 81 (91) 111 centimeters, respectively. Our pullover has the following density: 14 loops x 19 rows or 10x10 centimeters (with a “braid” pattern and the same size of knitting needles).
The following techniques will be used in knitting:3 loops crossed to the right: remove two loops as with knit knitting, knit the next loop and pull the removed loops through the knitted loop; 2 loops crossed to the right: remove one loop as with knit knitting, knit the next loop and pull the removed loop through the knitted loop. The basic pattern will be as follows: first row (purl): two knit, then repeat the following combination: three times alternate 1 purl, 1 knit, then 1 purl, 3 knit; finish the row with 2 knit instead of three knit; 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th rows: knit all loops according to the pattern;
6th row:2 purl, then repeat the following combination: knit, purl, slip one loop onto the first additional knitting needle in front of the fabric, slip one loop onto the second additional knitting needle behind the fabric, knit, purl, knit, knit the loop from the second additional knitting needle as a purl, knit, purl, knit, knit the loop from the first additional knitting needle as a knit, three purl; finish the row with two purl instead of 3 purl; rows 7 through 14: knit all loops according to the pattern. Permanently repeat rows 5 through 14.
Knitting the back.With knitting needles №7 cast on 85 (95) 105 loops and knit with the help of a rib, alternating 1 front, 1 back (we start and finish the first back row with 1 back). At the level of 12 centimeters, we remove the last two loops from both sides in the back row onto additional pins - 81 (91) 111 loops. We switch to knitting needles №8, with which we knit according to the main pattern. At the level of 29 centimeters (for any size - after the 7th row there are "braids") for raglan bevels, 5 loops are closed on both sides at the beginning of the row. Next, in all second rows (front), we perform raglan decreases as follows: Method one: knit 3 loops according to the pattern, cross 3 loops to the right, knit according to the pattern until the final 6 loops of the row, knit three loops together, knit three loops according to the pattern;
Method two:Knit three loops according to the pattern, cross 2 loops to the right, knit according to the pattern to the final 5 loops of the row, knit two loops together, knit 3 loops according to the pattern. Change methods 1 and 2 until there are 25 (27) 27 loops on the knitting needles. Finish with a purl row and leave the fabric for a while. Knit the front. It is knitted like the back, but with a larger neckline. As soon as there are 43 (45) 45 loops left on the knitting needles from the beginning of the raglan decreases, close the central 17 (19) 19 loops and finish the two sides separately. To round the neckline, close three loops on the inside at the beginning of all rows, making raglan decreases on the outside until you close all the loops. Knit the right sleeve. Cast on 57 (65) 73 loops and knit using an elastic band, alternately front and back. After seven centimeters, evenly add loops in the back row as follows: front, one increase (a cape, which we twist twice in the next row and knit purlwise), then repeat the following combination: 7 loops with an elastic band, one increase, one front, one increase; finish 7 loops using an elastic band, one increase, one front. Go to knitting needles No. 8 and knit with the main pattern - 71 (81) 91 loops. After 13 rows (in the same area as on the back part), close 5 loops for armholes in the initial part of each row. Next, make raglan decreases, similarly with the back. As soon as there are 25 (27) 27 loops on the knitting needles, close 5 loops in the initial part of all front rows in order to round the neck, making raglan decreases on the other side. After this, close the remaining loops in the 1st row.
We knit the left sleeve.Here, everything is done similarly with the right sleeve, but in mirror image. Assemble the product. We make sleeve seams, from the sides and raglan, simultaneously sewing the remaining loops of the front part from the face to the back part. At the same time, we sew the remaining loops of the back from the inside to the front part. We knit a collar. Along the neckline from the face, we cast on loops on knitting needles No. 7, starting with the raglan seam, which is on the right side of the back. Important note. The number of loops must be even.
The collar is knitted in a circle like this:knit, then the loop is removed, the thread before knitting (from the face), then the following combination should be repeated until the end of the circular row: knit, the next loop is removed, the thread before knitting. So we knit an additional 3 rows, after which we continue knitting with an elastic band in accordance with the pattern. At the collar level of 12 centimeters, all loops are closed.
