Knitting a jacket-shawl using the Jacket patternis a fairly popular wardrobe element in current fashion. Many women successfully combine it with a skirt or trousers. Before starting work, obtain the followingtools and materials: – black yarn Alta Moda Superbaby Fine “Uni Fb14 (63% Merino sheep wool, alpaca - 27%, 10% polyamide, density 112m/25g) – 575 (600) grams; – black yarn "Peppin" Fb13 (60% polyamide, 25% Merino sheep wool, 15% – soliacrylic, density 85m/50g) – 50 grams; – knitting needles No. 4.5; – stocking needles No. 4.5. In this work, an elastic band is used: 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches alternate. Pattern "braid" knitted according to the pattern. The number on the right shows the front rows. In the purl rows, the loops are knitted in accordance with the pattern. In width, the row starts with 13 loops before the first arrow, 2 x repeat = 36 loops between arrows = 72 loops, ends with 29 loops after the second arrow, for a total of 114 loops.
In height we knit 1 x from the first to the 32nd row, thenin each stripe of the pattern we repeat the shaded bottom rows, including the purl ones. In our work we will use the following knitting density: for the “braid” pattern; Alta Moda Superbaby Fine thread with knitting needles No. 4.5 – 28 stitches x 29.5 rows, which equals 10x10 centimeters; for stockinette stitch using Peppin thread and knitting needles No. 5.5 – 16.5 loops x 25 rows, which equals 10x10 centimeters. Progress of work. We knit the front and back with a single fabric. We start from the shelf on the left. Using Peppin thread and knitting needles No. 5.5, cast on 68 stitches. In order to form the bar, we knit 8 centimeters, which is approximately equal to 20 rows in stockinette stitch. In the final row of the longitudinal thread strip, we evenly add 46 crossed stitches, for a total – 114 loops. Next, take knitting needles No. 4.5 and continue knitting with Alta Moda thread using the “braid” pattern. in the designated distribution. After 74 (72) centimeters or 218 (212) rows from the armhole bar on the left, we divide the fabric in front of the 27th loop on the left side and continue both sides separately.
Somewhere after 16 (18) centimeters or 48 (54)row from the beginning of the armhole we reach its end. Next, we continue the back again on all the loops. After 38 (40) centimeters or 112 (118) rows from the end of the armhole, we perform the armhole on the right in the same way as on the left. After this, we finish the shelf on the right symmetrically with the left. We knit a sleeve. Using double needles No. 4.5 and Alta Moda thread, cast on 72 (80) stitches. We distribute them in equal parts on four knitting needles and close them in a circle, for a total of 18 (20) loops on one knitting needle. We switch to knitting in circular rows using an elastic band. After 7 centimeters or 21 circular rows from the cast-on for the thumb hole in the rib, we separate the underside of the elastic and first continue with straight rows.
After another three centimeters or 10 rows fromWe close the divisions again into a circle and continue in circular rows. After 62 centimeters or 186 rows from the end of the thumb hole, we loosely close all the loops in accordance with the picture. Finishing it off. We straighten all the elements, moisturize and leave to dry. We sew in the sleeves, making sure that the hole for the thumb is located inside the sleeve in the right place. I would also like to give you one piece of advice. First, baste the sleeves, put on the jacket and check that the thumb hole is correct. Once you have the correct placement, sew in the sleeves.
