We knit warm socks with the help of five spokes. A unique training master class with a detailed description of knitting socks of any size
Socks are simply an irreplaceable item. And how nice it is to dress your feet in warm socks in winter. You can knit socks quite easily using the five-needle technique, and today we present you with a master class on knitting warm socks that is accessible to every knitter. Often there are situations when a skilled knitter, capable of creating sweaters, pullovers and other large items, faces a lot of problems when creating socks. A simple task at first glance has several "pitfalls" that often scare needlewomen. In most cases, this applies to the "5-needle" technique, because it requires not only skill, but also a serious reserve of endurance and concentration. Some are also afraid to knit the heel. However, if you still master the technique, you will be able to please your family and friends with warm gloves, provocative knee-highs and much more. Conduct preliminary preparation for the knitting process - be sure to measure the ankle of the "patient" and increase the resulting number by 3 times. In other words, if the ankle length is 13 cm, feel free to cast on 40 stitches. We cast on the required number of twists on the knitting needles. In our example, there are 40 of them. When you knit the first row, you need to divide all the loops equally between 4 knitting needles. Do this gradually: first the first part on the first "knitted needle", the second - on the second, etc.
Once a certain number of lines appear, you must tie them with a 1x1 elastic band.
Next, you need to knit with a garter stitch along the outer side of the imaginary circle. 5-7 centimeters towards the ankle will be enough.
Pay special attention to the 3rd and 4th needles, as they will be the main ones for the heel. They must first be transferred to a single needle.
The panel is knitted using the 3rd and 4th knitting needles, must be the size of the heel. It is important to fulfill only one condition: the number of twists on one "rod" must be equal to the number of edge loops on one side. The outer row must end the back of the most complex element of the sock.
The next step will be to gradually remove the excessloops in the panel. Remember how to divide by three and get started. If there is a remainder when counting, it needs to be sent to the central area. According to our example, there are 6 loops in the side parts and 8 in the middle. The process of decreasing should start with the right knitting needle, which needs to be knitted with some loops as purl. Next, you need to purl the first loop of the "side" area and the last loop of the middle. We leave everything that remains on the side unknitted and turn over the future sock.
Loops of the middle zone of the front side of the sockknit with the front loops. The first loop of the side sector and the last one from the center are connected with a front loop. Turn the knitting over again. The above steps should be repeated until there are 8 loops left on the rod from the middle. The outer line finishes the knitting. Next, you need to turn the master trick - on the knitting needle, which is surrounded by loops of the middle zone, we wind a dozen loops from the edge of the heel. We do this exactly along the edge.
After this, the main needle begins knitting- 10 loops from the first and second knitting needles respectively. Then from the edge heel we create 10 loops along the outer area with a free knitting needle. The same knitting needle should knit 1/2 of the middle loops. In our case there will be 4 of them.
If everything was done correctly, you will receivefour further used knitting needles. There should be fewer loops on the 1st and 2nd than on the 3rd and 4th. This adds comfort to the sock. Then everything will be easier. Perform regular circular knitting and remove interfering loops from the 3rd and 4th "rods". They can be knitted in pairs through two lines. The decrease should be done at the beginning of the 3rd knitting needle and at the end of the 4th.
The decrease should be finished from the moment when the number of twists on the needles returns to the initial one. After that, it remains to knit the little finger.
Once the little finger is ready, you need to knit the toe correctly. At the end of each of the needles, knit 2 loops together.
Continue decreasing until there is only 1the loop will remain on each of the knitting needles. The thread needs to be broken, leaving 10-15 cm. Put the thread on the needle and stitch the open loops. At the end, be sure to tighten it tightly, having previously tied a knot.
Now only a few remain"cosmetic" operations. The thread that sticks out vulgarly from the sock needs to be disguised. To accomplish this task, from the back, go with the hook straight into the toe, while grabbing the thread and pulling it inside the sock.
Also hide a piece of thread - it needs to be caught and pulled to the back area. Repeat the operation until the "masking" is complete.
Our sock is ready! Now all that's left is to knit the second one and wear it with pleasure or give it to someone as a gift! Successful knitting of a sock signifies mastery of the knitting technique on five needles. Now many other specific things will not be a problem for you. By the way, if you want to decorate socks, pay attention to jacquard patterns or patterns with braids.
