Knitted beads. How to make a buckle
When I first got beads, there was nothing left for mea riddle how to make a beautiful and neat clasp. The beads were short, under the neck. I had to reread a lot of forums and advice. In the end, I decided to make a small master class and offer several options for decorating beads. You can download the master class for free as a single file in *pdf format at . This is convenient for storing, printing and sending. To make a clasp for beads, you will need: super moment glue, pliers, a clasp and a knot clamp. I used the simplest clasp. Unfortunately, there were no others in the nearest store. On the left in the photo is a ring, on the right is a knot clamp.
I strung the beads on a double fishing line with a thick needle. The knitted beads are tightly stuffed with cotton wool. Connect the ring to the clamp and secure the ring with pliers.
Thread the line through the hole in the knot clamp, betweensemicircles. Pull it so that the beads fit tightly together and tie a couple of knots. Now carefully cut off the excess line, leaving a 2-3 mm tip. Melt the ends of the line with a lighter. They should curl into balls and harden. If the ends are too long, the line will curl into a thick ball and it will fall off.
When the line has hardened, you need to drop a couple of drops of glue on the knot and close the clamp. The clasp is ready.
If you want to make your crocheted beads longer,or knit fewer balls, then I can offer the second option. In this case, the beads are strung on the same thread from which the balls are knitted. When knitting the last ball, do not break the thread. Knit a chain of air loops and secure it to the ball at the opposite end. Knit the second row in the opposite direction with single crochets, secure the thread to the first ball and break it.
The third option for connecting knitted beads. There is one drawback here. The thread from which the chain of air loops is knitted is visible on the bead. If this does not bother you...
Do not break the thread after you have tied the bead. Cast on 5-8 chain stitches, pull the last loop longer and pull it through the hole of the bead. Put the loop on the hook.
Place the working yarn over the hook and pull it through the loop.
Continue knitting a chain of air loops and at the end connect it with another knitted ball.
You will get knitted beads like these.
