Knitted carpets and puffs made of sheep's wool
Sheep are a great love and inspiration foryoung designer from Holland Christien Meindertsma. The girl makes knitted carpets and poufs, usually of impressive size, with her own hands using huge knitting needles.
Wool from which poufs and rugs are knitted, sheared from sheep that Christian herself keeps. The girl personally watches how her favorite animals are sheared, then collects all the sheared wool and with her own hands makes yarn from it using ancient technology, and the thickness of a small rope. Then, armed with unusually large knitting needles, she knits woolen poufs, knitted carpets, armchairs and other cozy pieces of furniture and interior design.
The designer's most beloved creations arewool knitted carpets of various sizes and colors. It’s interesting that the girl calls them installations, since they can and should be admired, and not just used for their intended purpose. I think that this definition can be applied to all other knitted furniture by Christian Meindertsma. To create carpets, the designer uses huge knitting needles, each 1.2 meters long. To knit one large carpet, you may need the wool of eighteen sheep. But the result is a very interesting and cozy thing, reminiscent of a scarf knitted by a grandmother.
Christian Meindertsma is also known for her cravings.to the study of raw materials and products. In 2004, she released her first book, Checked Baggage, which featured photographs of items confiscated at airport security checkpoints. And in 2007, the second book “PIG 05049” was published, dedicated to the study of connections between raw materials, suppliers and consumers of products. Well, for now we’ll also admire the knitted carpets and woolen ottomans.

Such woolen poufs will make any home very cozy and warm.
