Work of Albina Petrovna. "Vilyushka" is an endlessly stretching flexible narrow ribbon - linen, building a pattern of stripes, smoothly flowing from one form to another. Vilyushka is one of the most characteristic motifs of the Bruges lace pattern. In lace, vilyushka is also the main motif of many lace patterns. If adjacent arcs of straight sections of tape in a wide vilyushka are successively connected with st. of different heights, for example. st2n., st1n.. stbn.. then the sides of the vilyushka will lie at an angle to each other. Then the vilyushka will be transformed from a simple wide one into a figured one. To form a figured wilyushka, the bows of the braid can be connected in other ways. For the example, connect 9 bows of the braid with chains according to the pattern. Knit 17 rows of braid that has 8 bows on the inside of the bend. Knitting pattern for a napkin:
