Knitted jacket with elements of Irish laceDescription The collar of the jacket is made using the technique of lace patterns, which consists of various motifs (circles, petals, trefoils, flowers and cords in 2 and 3 folds), connected to each other using needle bridges. Knit the jacket with C1H in a single piece of fabric with a thread in 2 folds. In order to avoid mistakes and knit a product of the desired size and silhouette, before starting work, it is necessary to make a pattern (on paper or thick fabric) in natural size, taking into account the individual features of the figure. Then knit (from the yarn with which you will knit the product) a sample of the main knitting measuring at least 10 x 10 cm. Based on the sample and pattern, make a knitting calculation. And also, even if the calculation from the theoretical point of view is correct, do not forget to apply the fabric to the pattern as often as possible during the knitting process to check and adjust the size of the product. For the back and shelves, use hook #3 to make a flat cord of the required length (see pattern) and knit along it with hook #2 using the main pattern. Flat cord: knit with hook #3 using a 3-ply thread and hook #2 using a 2-ply thread. Make a chain of 3 VP, then in the 1st VP, knit 1 SC. Turn the work clockwise, insert the hook into the resulting 2 parallel loops and knit one SC. Turn the work clockwise. Continue working until the cord reaches the required length. After 20 cm from the start of the work, start evenly decreasing 1 st on the right and left for the neckline and knit like this for 20 cm. After 43 cm from the cast-on edge, start forming the armholes of the sleeves, constantly applying the knitting to the pattern, then form the neckline on the back. After 63 cm from the cast-on edge, finish the work. For the sleeves, use hook No. 3 to make a flat cord of the required length and knit from it with hook No. 2 using the main pattern, making increases in every 2nd row on both sides for the side bevels. After 40 cm from the cast-on edge, start forming the sleeve cap in accordance with the pattern. After 58 cm from the cast-on edge, finish the work. Connect the shoulder seams and side seams of the sleeves. Sew the sleeves into the armholes. To make a lace collar, you need to prepare a life-size pattern using thick plastic wrap for this. Place a flat cord in 3 folds along the outer contour and baste. Place and baste a chain of VP along the inner contour of the collar. Then baste the cord in 2 folds. Place the finished motifs on the pattern with the front side down, making a composition. Connect the cords and circles using a figure-eight bridge. To make a bond, you need to lay the thread from the cord to the circle and back and tightly wrap the threads. Secure the thread with a short stitch. When moving from one connection to another, pull the thread inside the cord or circle. Separate the finished collar from the film and sew it to the finished jacket. Sew the collar. Decorate the product along the perimeter with hook No. 2 in two threads with 2 rows of sc. Do not forget to make loops on the left shelf. Sew buttons to the right shelf. Knitted jacket pattern:
