Let's knit a rattle for our child with our own hands.Surely you were struck by the unusual color scheme for a toy. The fact is that babies' vision is still immature, and they perceive color contrast best visually. That is why the smallest ones are so interested in drawings consisting of clear lines and geometric figures. That is why I decided to keep the rattle in black and white.
To make a rattle with your own hands, you will need very little:
Kinder Surprise capsule; filling forrattles - these can be beans, rice, semolina, etc.; knitting threads of black and white colors - I have YarnArt Etamin; a hook of the appropriate size - I find No. 1.5 convenient for these threads; a needle with a thick eye; a threader; scissors.

Place the filling into the capsule.There shouldn't be much of it - then the sound will be more expressive. Remember that the knitted shell will muffle this sound a little. For the "rattle" I took several small beans.
We begin to knit the bottom with white thread.To do this, close 6 ch into a ring, tie 8 sc, and in the next row, knit 2 sc in each loop of the previous row. We will get a pancake. We knit in the same way (adding loops in each row at equal intervals), knit a pancake with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the capsule in section. Please note: I knitted from Etamin threads - they are made of acrylic, they are easy to care for, and such rattles wash well. If you prefer cotton, take the YarnArt Violet thread - it is made of 100% cotton.
After the required size of the "pancake" is knitted, continue knitting in a circle with single crochets without adding. You will get a "hat". Try it on your capsule.
Change the color of the thread every 2-3 rows. You can make the stripes equal in width, or different.
When the height of the cap becomes equal to the length of the capsule - we begin to remove the loops. To do this, we evenly decrease the loops, you can - tightly.
The hole can be left uncovered, and when the diameterthe ring will have 8-10 loops, just continue knitting in a circle, without adding or decreasing, remembering to alternate the colors of the thread. This will be the handle of our homemade rattle.
Tie it to a length that will be easy to carry.was to wrap and sew to the opposite edge of the tied capsule, and it was convenient for the child to take hold of this loop. Finish knitting the handle - fasten the thread and cut, leaving a tail of about 20 centimeters. Thread this tail into the eye of the needle and sew along the perimeter of the handle edge to the free end of the capsule.
