Pull the end of the yarn back through the knitting, completing the “false loop”; you now have in your hands an “even circle” without a “step” where the yarn was secured. 5. Place the thread along the edge of the circle and introduce the thread of a different color, picking up a ch at another point of the circle. Consider the picked up ch 14 ch as the zero (preparatory) row, and the 1st row - 6 sc, then knit according to the pattern: 2nd row - 12 dc, 3rd row - 24 sc. Cut a circle out of foam rubber with a diameter equal to the diameter of the stool seat. Knit as many rows as necessary to cover it. Knit 6-8 rows without increases to knit the "walls", then make a row knitting two columns into one. Finish the work by knitting a few more rows without changes. Having laid foam rubber on the seat of the stool, stretch the knitted fabric on top, having previously steamed it with an iron from the inside, and fix it from the bottom. The seat on a square stool is knitted similarly - first, dial 5 ch, make a sl-st, forming a ring. Make 1 ch to lift the row, then dial 8 sc from the middle of the ring. Having closed the row with sl-st, make a "false loop". Insert a new thread, starting with a ch at another point of the circle. For the 2nd row, knit every 2nd sc three times, close the row with sl-st, make a "false loop". Knit all the following rows in the same way, knitting 3 sc in the 1st column in the corners of the square. Carpet wool can be replaced with ordinary wool, taking the remains of colored threads for work: in this case, twist several threads together during the knitting process so that the fabric turns out dense and lasts a long time.
