Mom turned the pages of the book, and I listened with interest to the long story and, of course, looked at the pictures. A small, brave girl, somewhere on the edge of the earth, wins Kai back from the Snow Queen. I looked at the pictures and thought: "How brave she is! And how is she not cold?" I soon received an answer to my question. One morning, I woke up and saw a brand new vest knitted by my mother. For me, it was like a fairy tale.So that your daughter can feel herself toothe heroine of the fairy tale, I suggest you give her a warm vest. For this you will need: • yarn "Svelana" - 130 g. (composition: 50% wool, 50% acrylic) in your girl's favorite color. • Knitting needles No. 2. • Knitting needles No. 3.5. • Hook No. 2, for creating loops. • 2 buttons. Let's get started: Knit an elastic band 2 x 2: alternately knit according to the following pattern: 2 front / 2 back; knit the back according to the pattern. We form an elastic band 1 x 1 according to the pattern: 1 front / 1 back. In the purl rows: the front loop is knitted under the knitting needle (row below), and the back loop is unchanged. When creating an openwork pattern, use the diagram (it shows only the front rows - the back is knitted according to the pattern) Front: on our knitting needles No. 2, cast on 74 loops and knit 4 centimeters of 2x2 elastic. When the elastic is ready, move to knitting needles 3.5 and remove 10 loops for the next row - we should have 64 loops left. We continue knitting our product according to the following diagram: we start with an edge loop, then 7 loops of 1x1 elastic. After this, we knit 48 loops of the figured pattern, 7 loops of 1x1 elastic and finish with an edge loop. When our vest "grows" to 17 cm, it is necessary on both sides, in each even row, to alternately close 3, 2 and 1 loops for the armhole. We knit like this for about 10 cm and proceed to create a neckline. For the neckline, we close 18 loops in the middle and then each side is knitted separately. For a beautiful rounding of the neckline on the inside, in each front row we close 5 times one loop. The remaining 12 loops are closed at one time, and the other side is knitted in the same way.We knit the back according to the same pattern, only without a neckline.for the neck. At a height of 14 cm from the beginning of knitting the armhole, close 12 shoulder loops on each side. Remove the remaining loops of the neck to an additional knitting needle. Our wonderful vest is almost ready. To assemble it, you need to make shoulder seams. Along the edges of the armholes on knitting needles (use knitting needles No. 2) we collect 86 loops and knit a 2x2 elastic band. We knit 7 rows with an elastic band, close the loops according to the pattern and make side seams.To keep our little one warm, we finish knittingcollar. For this we need knitting needles № 3.5. Along the neckline we cast on 74 loops, starting from the left shoulder. We knit 13 cm with a 2x2 elastic band, we close the loops according to the pattern. We do not sew the side seam of the collar. It is necessary to turn the collar to the front side and sew on our two buttons on one side, and on the other - make 2 hanging loops with a crochet hook. Our vest is ready.
