Knitted watermelon. Master Class!
Master-class on knitting a water-melon slice fromSontina. It is done quite simply. Red thread 4 air loops and connect them to the ring. 1 row: in a circle - 6 scs 2 ranks: in each loop 2 scs (12) 3 ranks: in each second loop 2 scs each (18) Continue, in each row adding 6 loops (in the 4th row - in every third , in the fifth - in every fourth, etc.) To compete 16 rows (96) That's what I got: 
Next, bind the white thread and make anothercircle, tying in each 16th loop of 2 scs. After that, tie a light green thread and make another row, tying 2 RLS in each 17th loop. And, finally, tie the dark green thread and make three circles, adding in each of 6 loops. I did not have any dark green threads, and in the woolen thread I wove an ordinary dark green thread for sewing. It turned out very well. 
Cut off the thread (I left the one for sewing). Cut out a cardboard circle of the same diameter as the diameter of the red part of the watermelon. 
Fold the cardboard circle in diameter, cover the top with a circle of watermelon and start sewing it from the corner, pushing a little cloth inward to make the watermelon take the form of this: 
First, sew the two corners, then put foam or sintepon between the cardboard halves, so that the resulting watermelon kept the shape, and sew the remaining hole. It turns out here is such a slice. 
Now we take the thread of black color (I had a moulin) and in random order we sew seeds. Everything, our watermelon is ready! You can make 10 such slices and put them in a bowl, you get a whole watermelon, cut into slices. A source
