Knitting skirts for girls with their own hands. Master class on knitting for beginners.
In winter it is very comfortable to wear trousers and pants. Most women do this, but you always want to dress a little girl like a princess: in dresses, skirts, sundresses and lace. This knitted skirt is a great option for autumn and winter weather in combination with warm tights. The photos show the step-by-step execution of the skirt, so it will not be difficult to figure it out. This skirt is suitable for a girl aged 6-7 years. You will need:
- yarn (100% acrylic, 400 m/100 g) - 200 g sectionally dyed,
- spokes number 3,
- elastic.
Front surface: front rows - front loops, purl.rows - purl loops. Front piece: cast on 160 sts for the lower frill, knit 24 rows in stockinette stitch. In the last row, knit all the loops 2 sts together = 80 sts. Continue knitting in stockinette stitch for another 20 rows. Set the loops aside. Knit the second frill in the same way, immediately after decreasing the loops, connect it to the first frill. To do this, place the loops of the first frill under the loops of the second frill and knit 1 st from each knitting needle together. After this, knit another 20 rows in stockinette stitch and set the loops aside. Knit the third frill in the same way. After decreasing the loops, connect the third frill to the two lower ones as before, and continue knitting in stockinette stitch. After 40 rows, knit an openwork row for the hem: knit *2 sts together knit, yarn over*, repeat *-*. Knit 6 more rows of knit stitch and close all the loops. Back piece: knit in the same way. Assembly: make side seams. Fold the upper edge of the skirt along the openwork row to the wrong side and hem, inserting an elastic band. First, you need to measure the circumference of the child's waist and hips. The indicators will be approximately equal, since, in little girls, the hips are not yet rounded and the tummy sticks out (I know from my baby). For example, the figure is 67 cm. Next, we calculate the knitting density, for which we knit a sample of 10 * 10 cm in stocking stitch. It turns out, for example, 1 cm = 4 loops. This means 67 cm = 268 loops. Please note that this frill is knitted from the bottom, i.e. starting from the wide part. The required number of loops is cast on (for our example it will be equal to 268 loops multiplied by 2, i.e. 536 loops), 6 rows are knitted in garter stitch, and then in stocking stitch another 5-7 cm.After that, you need to reduce the number of loops by half, i.e. knit one row of stocking stitch, in which you knit 2 loops together. For example, there were 536 loops, but you need to make 268.Now we knit these 268 loops further in stocking stitch, exactly enough so that the upper flounce covers the lower one by about 1 cm.Separately knit another flounce (I think it needs to be knitted a little narrower) and connect it to the bottom one at the place where the even part of the stocking stitch of the first flounce ends. Thus, you need to knit three flounces. Having attached the last one, we knit the top of the skirt. We knit about 4-5 cm higher in order to sew in the elastic. As a result, you should get a skirt like this:
