Learn the basics of Kusudam art with the example of flowers made of paper. A master class for beginners.
Kusudama flower ball is wonderfula gift for loved ones for any holiday. A long time ago, in Japan, they were hung at the head of a sick person, and medicinal herbs were put inside. Kusudama are considered the predecessors of modular origami, although many do not agree with this, since one component of their manufacture is gluing the parts, and modular origami only involves inserting modules. Manufacturing technology: 1. A clean square sheet of colored paper must be folded in half to form a triangle;
2. Bend the edges of the triangle towards the middle to form a rhombus;
3. Bend back the corner and fold it in half again towards the middle (see picture);
4. Fold the corners down;
5. We roll the resulting figure into a cone, and glue the inner edges together – we get a petal (for each flower you need five such petals);
6. Glue the prepared petals together;
7. Glue the resulting flowers together petal by petal;
You can also put a ribbon or braided rope inside the flower when gluing it, then you can hang the kusudama.
