Learning how to create a Rango doll with your own hands

We decided to offer an unusual doll to you todayto do. To create a Rango doll you will need the following materials: • Polymer clay; • Thick wire in braid; • Foil; • Stacks for modeling; • Sandpaper; • Synthetic brushes; • Acrylic paints; • Lacquer with a matte effect; • Vaseline; • Cloth for clothes or ready-made clothes for dolls; • Glass eyes. How to make Rango with your own hands. 1-2. From the polymer clay we sculpt two balls and insert glass eyes into them. We bake in the oven by "preliminary roasting" (read below about such firing). After baking sand with sandpaper, removing irregularities and fingerprints. For a head from a foil roll a dense ball. To determine the desired size, we focus on the finished eyes. Now attach the eyes, lightly pressing them on the base of the head. Between the eyes there must be a distance equal to one such eye. 5. We collect the volumes of the future person. In place of the forehead we put a plate of plastic about five millimeters thick, a teardrop-shaped module - in place of the nose, two equal round modules - on the cheeks and one, slightly smaller than the previous ones - to the place where the mouth will be. 6. Using a metal stack in the shape of a spatula as it should, we apply the plastic modules to the base of the head and to each other. Eyes are removed, as they will be attached after. 7. With a narrow stack with a ball-shaped tip, we form the nostrils, cut the mouth with a scalpel or a narrow stack. 8-11. We smooth the workpiece with a flat brush and petroleum jelly. Vaseline slightly dissolves the upper thin layer of plastic, which allows you to make uniform and smooth surfaces. The head preparation is baked using the "pre-firing" method and sanded with sandpaper until it is perfectly smooth. We sculpt the "bells" that are on the face of the chameleon, from the raw plastic and attach them, using a thin shovel-shaped stack. 12. The body preparation is also made of foil. For the strength of thin details of the neck, hands and feet, we use thick copper wire. 13. For a neck we roll plastic "sausage" and we pass through it a wire. Lightly roll on a hard surface. 14-16. Evenly from all sides, we attach the neck to the head with the help of a stack. We attach the head with the attached neck to the body blank. The fixing point must be pre-pierced in order for the wire inside the head to penetrate the body. We apply raw plastic on the whole body base, forming proportions. 17-18. Feet molds in the form of pads. Billets of legs are also baked using the "pre-firing" method. Also we sculpt our hands, having set them bends according to the planned posture. In one of the hands there will be a spear, so the brush is sculpted so that in the future to put in it the given object. 19-20. Then pre-burned parts are added to the raw plastic of the body. We perform one more "preliminary roasting" of all the work and carefully sand it with fine-grained sandpaper. After that, bake "full firing" (read below about this roasting), paint with acrylic paints, cover with a finish matte varnish. We decorate with accessories and garments and fasten it to the stand with the help of super-glue. Our chameleon is ready! Pre-firing: in a cold oven we place raw plastic, bring the temperature to 90 ° C and hold for 20 minutes, without raising or lowering the temperature. After this time, completely cool the plastic, without removing it from the oven. The plastic must be matte. Full firing: put the plastic in a cold oven and bring the temperature to 90 ° C, hold for 20 minutes. After this time, raise the temperature to 100 ° C and hold for 15 minutes, then increase the temperature to 110 ° C and bake at this temperature for another 15 minutes. According to this scheme, we continue to raise the temperature to 120 ° C and hold the plastic for 20 minutes. Completely cool, do not remove from the oven. The plastic should become absolutely cold. So, our doll is ready!
