How to sew a summer sarafan on a professional pattern. Step-by-step recommendation of making a light female sarafan

The sarafan has always been a summer garment. The outfit itself is made of light fabric, which is decorated with a pattern and design. You can add a belt to such clothes, for example. Let's get started. Let's measure your back and chest.We transfer the top part of the sarafan, that is, its pattern, onto paper, observing the parameters, and then cut out parts A, B and C (two of each). These parts will be the straps and yokes for the sarafan.
We cut out trapezoids (2 pcs.)) about 1 meter long. The lower base is 90 cm. The top of the trapezoid will be different. For the back part, it is equal to the width of the back with a margin of 2 cm. But the front part is equal to half the chest circumference with a margin of 6 centimeters. Do not forget to leave 1 cm on all sides for the seams. Using a long stitch, stitch the top of the back main part of the sundress, gather it according to the size of the yoke. Fold the two parts of the yoke with the wrong side out. Between them, put the back main part of the sundress and stitch, leaving an indent for the seam.
In the front part of the sarafan you need to doseveral tucks on both sides. The indent from the middle (part B) is 5 cm. Their depth should be such that the upper part of the front panel coincides with the width of the yoke edge (front side). Sew the front part of the yoke to the main part of the sundress. Iron the resulting product and stitch the seams on the front side of the yoke, making an indent of 0.1 cm. Connect the seams from the sides. The connection should be started from top to bottom. Then iron and align the length. Sew the hem with an indent of 2 cm. Fold parts C in half, turning the long edge inward, and stitch on both sides along the long side. Mark the places where the straps will be located and adjust them. Insert them between the back and front yokes. Fasten and stitch with an indent of 0.1 cm. That's all!
