Sculptor and designer from Scotland Mark Stoddart(Mark Stoddart) creates a limited edition of amazing tables in the form of animals. The idea of creating such tables was visited by the designer after a visit to the national parks of Africa and observation of animals in the natural environment. Mark Stoddart says that he loves to watch the animal and has long been trying to find a way to display in the design of furniture what he sees and feels. After various experiments with materials, he came to the conclusion that it was glass and bronze that would most fully be able to have the right image, namely, an animal that looked out over the surface of the water. The very first work of the author from a series of tables in the form of animals - a glass coffee table with a bronze sculpture of a hippopotamus. Then the bathing elephant, a floating tiger, a dog, otters, a rhino and an alligator appeared in the collection, but it was the tables in the form of hippopotamuses that became the visiting card of the sculptor. Bronze looks great in any space,so such tables in the form of animals harmoniously fit in both the classic and modern interior. In addition, in homes there is often no place for bronze sculpture, so the author combined it with a functional object - the table. In the collection of tables with bronze sculpture appeared and topics that do not relate to the animal world, for example, a girl who is looking for a lost coin or mermaid at the bottom, awaiting the prince.
