Well, what man doesn't wear trousers?Of course, all males wear them. If you decide to sew trousers yourself, you have come to the right place. We have a secret to creating a pattern for men's trousers that will be relevant for both men and young men.
This pattern is basic and is intended forpeople wearing sizes 46 and 54. For other sizes, you can create a pattern yourself, taking into account the measured parameters - waist, hips and trouser length.
To sew trousers we will need:Suit fabric, 150 cm wide and 170 cm long (this piece of fabric is designed for size 44); lining fabric, 140 cm wide and 70 cm long; adhesive lining; a twenty-centimeter zipper; a button. We calculate the details and distribute the main face fabric: we take two details for the front part of the trousers, and the same for the back; one detail is taken for the slope. One detail is cut out for the right part of the waistband, and also one detail for the left part. For the adhesive lining, we take the waistband, fly, and facings. For the lining part: four details for the front pocket; two details for the pocket on the back side; here we need lining fabric for the front half. For the folds and edge processing, we calculate: we need four centimeters of fabric for processing the bottom, and about one and a half centimeters along the other edges of the cut canvas.
The process of sewing trousers To correctlycut out, you need to lay out the pattern on top of the fabric, which is folded in half, with the front face inward. The edges are outlined with chalk or a special pencil. Then apply the adhesive lining to the line of the belt, facings, fly, slopes and pockets. On the back parts, it is important to grind the darts and iron them to the center. On the front parts of the fabric, we lay out the folds, while directing them to the center, and then baste them to the upper edge.
We process the slit pockets on the backparts: to the back side of the product, you need to iron a strip of lining equal to 4 cm over the markings from the inside. We work with the pockets, iron their facing, pin, process the edges and seams. All linings and burlap are correctly basted to the wrong side. We baste the upper facing to the front of the trousers. We work with the lining, apply it to the back of the product and baste. We sew in the zipper correctly. At the bottom of the legs, also from the inside, we sew the facings, overcast the hem and round off the folds. The last stage will be working with the belt part, sewing on the patterns, already folded in half and with turned edges. To do this, we stitch the central section of the front seam, then process the back central seam to the upper part of the belt. The wrong edges are folded and stitched in the stitching area.So, we have got some wonderful classic men's trousers!
