The use of audio cassettes has already become a thing of the past.But, probably, someone has a collection of cassettes with audio recordings of their favorite performers, which is a pity to throw away. Why not take all the cassettes out of the cabinets and put them on display, in the most visible place? Designers from the OOOMyDesign studio suggest making original lamps from audio cassettes with your own hands.
Make floor and tabletop speakers from audio cassettesLamps, ceiling lights and sconces are quite simple. Cassettes are tied together with brightly colored cords, leather strips or plastic ties to form a cube shape, and a light bulb is placed inside this lampshade. Anyone can make a lampshade like this from audio cassettes with their own hands. Light shines through the holes in the cassettes, and also through the cassettes themselves if they are made of translucent plastic. These lamps are just one of many points in a project called cassetteisnotdead (cassettes are not dead). You can even send your cassettes to designers and get back a handmade gift made from them!
