Pattern of a man's sports suit with his own hands with a description and a photo.
If your husband has decided to start leading an active lifestyle andgo in for sports, sew him a comfortable and elegant tracksuit with your own hands. You won’t need much for it: about twenty centimeters of black ribana; fifty centimeters of Fendi knitted fabric (or its substitute); zipper; three meters of insulated diving fabric; two zippers for pockets; wide elastic band.We sew trousers.Take the trousers from your husband's old tracksuit and rip them apart, there is no other way to make a pattern. Fold the material in half, pin the leg on top, trace and cut out. Don't forget to mark the pocket locations.
See the illustration. Now you need to prepare the strips for the piping. Cut out a straight strip with one-centimeter overlaps on both sides. The overlaps should be ironed to the wrong side. In our example, the trouser leg already had piping, so we marked the center along the entire length of the trouser leg with chalk, pinned a piece of material, basted it and sewed it on with a sewing machine. We will make pockets with zippers. Cut out four burlap pieces using lining fabric.
We overcast the burlap on all sides using an overlock. On 2 burlaps we mark a rectangle, the short side of which is the width of the teeth, somewhere around 5-7 millimeters (as a rule, the zipper tape should not be visible more than three millimeters); the long side, respectively, is the length of the zipper. The burlap with the marked rectangle is pinned to one of the legs.
Sew and cut down the middle, not reachingone centimeter to the edge. At this distance, cut the burlap at the same time as the piece diagonally to the corners. The burlap is turned inside out, and the edges are overcast. Sew the jacket. The illustrations below show quite clearly which lines should be traced.
Fold the material along the fold (it goes along the yellowlines) proportionally and cut out the sleeve. Similarly, you need to outline the shelves, placing the old jacket "seam to seam". For the pockets, cut out four burlap and two leaves, which will be ten centimeters in width, and their length will be equal to the length of the pocket entrances on the old jacket. Similarly, mark the center of the sleeve along its entire length in order to sew on the stripes. They should also be sewn along the shoulder seams. After this, baste the zipper and sew it on both sides. On the outside, make a topstitching the width of which is equal to ½ the paw.
Now we move on to stitching the two parts together.hood, main elements and lining. Make a mark in the middle of the back for more accurate stitching of the hood to the neckline. This mark should be aligned with the seam on the hood, pinned and stitched. Now it's time for pockets with the 1st leaflet. Make markings for stitching and markings where the edge leaves will need to be stitched. The leaves are folded in half, the short sides are sewn together, turned inside out and ironed. The leaves are placed on the markings made so that they are seven millimeters from the edge of the leaves. Attach and stitch. The pocket burlaps are pinned tightly to the leaves and stitched so that the stitching lines of the burlap are two to three millimeters shorter than the stitching lines of the leaves. There will be a distance of about one centimeter between the seams.
Make a cut between the lines and in the corners –diagonal cut. Sew the 2nd burlap to the overlap of the stitching from the inside specifically into the stitching seam. Turn the pockets inside out. Stitch two lines on the short ends of the leaflets and secure them to the shelf. Stitch the pocket burlap along the contours from the inside and overcast. Sew a strip of material that is hand-sewn onto the zipper allowances.
As a result, you will get such an interesting men's sports suit!
