Making a textile development cube with your own hands with explanatory photos.
The best toy for a child will be the onewhich you will make with your own hands, putting your whole soul into it. And it is even better if the child receives such a gift that will contribute to his development. Such a surprise can be a developmental cube, which will not only give pleasure to your baby, but will also help develop fine motor skills of hands, attention and perseverance. For a mother, making such a toy will be a great opportunity to develop her creative talents. And imagine how many positive emotions you can give to your beloved baby.
And before you start working,Prepare the necessary tools: thick paper, needles of different diameters, scissors, colored markers and a pencil. The materials we will need are cotton fabric and thick felt of different colors, leather scraps, foam rubber, cotton wool, various ribbons (rainbow colors), sewing threads of different colors and buttons of different tones to decorate the Christmas tree, flowers and frog. Now that everything is ready, let's start making. Make a cube pattern of 6 squares measuring 17 cm. They need to be cut out according to this pattern.
Now let's start decorating the top orange one.square. Make a tree trunk from black leather and make the leaves from green felt. An owl is hidden inside, which can be made from brown felt. Make a bush from green fabric and sew a snail to it.
To decorate one of the red edges, you need to do it in advanceprepare 5 loops and 4 hooks. As you can see, the mushrooms and acorns are not the same size. They are removable and are placed in a felt basket, which is located on the side. Each removable part has a loop attached to it, thanks to which the mushrooms are hung on the hooks. The basket is tied with a red ribbon.
A frog made of felt is sewn onto the other red edge. The mouth is decorated with a zipper, inside which a long red tongue is hidden. The eyes can be made of felt and buttons.
The other orange side is decorated with bluea cloud that is attached to the edge with Velcro. A little lower there is a lake and felt flowers. The details of the cloud and flowers are filled with cotton wool for more volume. The flowers can be decorated with buttons and ribbons. A decorative ladybug located on the flower and a duck-shaped button that needs to be sewn to the lake would not be superfluous.
Now proceed to decorate the white edges.A felt Christmas tree should be sewn onto one of them and decorated with buttons. A snowman should also be made from felt. It can be either sewn on or fastened with buttons or Velcro. The broom is made from a dry branch and threads imitating straw. Make a felt nose for the snowman, but sew it on so that it can be pulled.
We will make the other white edge similar to the sky.In one of the corners, you need to sew a pocket made of blue felt in the form of a cloud. Additionally, you can sew a rainbow of colored ribbons. Make a separate sun from yellow felt, stuffing it with cotton wool. Insert a cord diagonally. On one side, it is pulled through a loop of ribbon, and on the other - through a hole in the pocket. The sun will move along it by pulling the cord.
Once all the faces are ready, the cubeshould be sewn from the inside. Do not sew one side. Turn our cube through it and fill it with foam rubber. To make the cube look neater, the foam rubber should be cut into squares of the appropriate size and folded into the shape of a cube. And finally, you need to sew the last side from the front side with a blind stitch. Now our toy is completely ready. As you can see, you do not need to use a sewing machine to sew it, everything is done by hand. Bring your child a lot of joy in such a simple way.
