Making a vase with your own hands from various materials at hand, using our master class with a photo
Make a vase with your own hands If you have the ones you have at homeyou are already tired of vases and want to add something original to the interior space of your home – make a vase from old magazines and newspapers, branches, glass or plastic bottles with your own hands. A lot of methods and technologies have been invented for this. We will tell you about some of them below. Option No. 1. Make a vase using paper. From a simple glass bottle or jar alwaysyou can make an elegant vase. Multi-colored corrugated paper will help you with this, which we will decorate the above-mentioned container with. If possible, it should be made of transparent glass. Before starting work, we need to dilute regular PVA glue with water in a 1: 1 ratio or buy decoupage glue. So, our set of tools and materials will consist of: glue; glass jar (or bottle); scissors (optional); different colors of corrugated paper.1.Take corrugated paper, cut it into small pieces. 2. Apply a thin layer of glue to a glass container (jar or bottle) in a certain place and start gluing pieces (or scraps) of colored paper. Gradually adding pieces of paper, apply glue to the next areas of the surface to be pasted.3.After you have glued the entire jar or bottle with one layer of paper, apply another layer. 4. You should also go over the second layer with glue. After drying, it will become transparent. If you have varnish, you can additionally open our container with it. In passing, we note that newspapers or magazines will be an excellent replacement for corrugated paper. Option #2. Decorate a bottle vase with thread. An ordinary glass bottle can easily be turned into a very nice vase using yarn of different colors. This time your craft kit shouldinclude: scissors; colored yarn or ribbons; glass bottle; regular PVA or decoupage glue. The yarn threads are fixed to the bottle with glue, so pay attention to the fact that it dries quickly. We recommend applying it to the container in small sections. Try to wind the yarn tightly, leaving no empty space between the threads. Make the vase monotonous or multi-colored - it depends only on your desire. If there is no yarn, it can be easily replaced with ribbons. The decoration technique described below is perfect for almost any container, even cans. Another substitute for yarn can be small ropes. Option No. 3. We make a vase from branches. To start this hand-made project, you should prepare: a glue gun (or, as a last resort, superglue); burlap; thread (jute); a small saw (at your discretion; in principle, branches can be broken); a container (flat); branches (if possible, of the correct shape). 1. Find a small bunch of branches and cut them into several identical pieces. These pieces should protrude slightly above our container.2.Take a thread about one and a half meters long and connect all the prepared branches, starting from the middle of the thread. The addition of each branch ends with tying it with a regular knot. In the illustration, it is noticeable that both the upper and lower parts of the thread are used.3.Tie the branches until an oblong "fence" is formed from them. Then wrap it around our container, trying on the length, and, if necessary, remove or add the required number of branches.4. Take the burlap and wrap our future vase with it. There is no need to be strict here, because from the outside it will all be decorated with a “fence” of branches. If you plan to plant in such a potflower, do not forget to make a row of holes in the bottom beforehand. 5. At the last stage, we have to wrap the container with twigs and tie a thread. To give additional stability, it is recommended to put a couple of pebbles on the bottom. Option #4. DIY winter vase option. Before you start working on the product, you should have: aerosol (sticky); wine bottle; table salt; primer (in a can). 1. Using a sprayer, apply the primer to the bottle. It is not advisable to do this at home, it is better to do it on the balcony, outside or in a well-ventilated room.2. Pour salt (preferably coarse) onto pre-prepared paper or newspaper.3. Spray the sticky spray on our future vase.4. Place a wine bottle on the salt and roll it over the surface, making sure that the grains of salt stick to it evenly. This is how we made a snow-covered vase. Several branches sticking out from inside such a vasegreen plant, will create a festive mood for any celebration. An original composition can be created from several of these vases, scattering salt nearby and placing a row of candles.
