Of course, you can time this craftmonkey for the new 2016 year, of which it is a symbol. But it is not necessary at all! Fans of modular origami do not need to look for a reason to assemble another craft. Because this activity is already very interesting and exciting. Like assembling a construction set!
For this craft, prepare:
- 8 sheets of white office (Xerox) paper,
- 55 sheets of yellow office paper,
- a small sheet of white paper,
- adhesive (gun or transparent universal),
- stationery knife,
- scissors.
In total, you need to collect 879 yellow modules (ym) and 123 white modules (wm). One A4 sheet makes 16 modules. Torso. Rows 1 and 2 are 12 ym each.
We lift the corners of the modules upwards.
Row 3: 18 presses. The workpiece should be held with your hands, because at this stage it will unfold back.
4th row: 18 jms.
Row 5: 27 jms.We add modules as follows: on each of the two corners of the module from the previous row we put one module from the current row with one pocket. That is, for one module from the previous row there are 2 modules from the current row.
From the sixth row we begin to lay out the tummy with white modules. 4 bm. The remaining 23 are yellow.
Row 7: 7 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 8: 8 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 9: 7 bm, the rest are yellow.
Row 10: 8 bm, the rest are yellow.Row 11: 7 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 12: 8 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 13: 7 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 14: 6 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 15: 5 bm, the rest are yellow. Row 16: 4 bm, the rest are yellow.
Row 17: 23 jms.We reduce the number of modules as follows: we put the module of the current row not on two, but on three corners of the modules of the previous row. Thus, two modules of the current row take the place of three modules.
Row 18: 18 j.
Row 19: 18 j.
Row 20: 12 j.
Head. Assembled like the body. Rows 1, 2 – 10 stitches each.
We lift the corners up, as if turning the product inside out.
Third row: 15 jms.
Muzzle: 3 bm. The rest are 13 jm.
Fifth row: 4 bm, 15 jm.
Sixth row: 5 bm, 14 jm.Seventh row: 6 bm, 17 jm. Eighth row: 5 bm, 18 jm. Ninth row: 6 bm, 17 jm. Tenth row: 5 bm, 18 jm. Eleventh row: 6 bm, 17 jm. Twelfth row: 5 bm, 14 jm. Thirteenth row: 4 bm, 15 jm.
Fourteenth row: 3 bm, 14 jm.
Row fifteen: 14 jms.
Row 16: 14 stitches.
We glue the head to the body.
Paws. Alternate rows of 2 and 1 press. Total for each paw (arm) 30 press.
We give the paws a rounded shape and glue them to the body.
Legs. Alternate rows of 2 and 1 press. Total 51 press.
Additionally, for each foot - 20 presses.
We bend the legs into a "wheel" shape.
We glue them to the body.
Tail: 38 stitches. 1 stitch in each row.
Bend the tail. Glue it on.
Ears: 10 jms each.
We glue the ears.
Draw eyes, nose, mouth on thick paper. Cut out and glue to the muzzle. You can use ready-made plastic parts.
The finished monkey.
