Even a child knows that without Santa Claus there will be no New Year, which means there will be no presents! You can surprise your family and make such a Santa Claus with your own hands, decorating the Christmas tree with it.For the toy we needed:

Let's start knitting the toy from the head. For this, take pink cotton. Row 1. In the amigurumi ring, we collect 6 single crochets (sc).
Row 2. 6 + 6 = 12 sc. Knit two sc into one loop of the bottom row.
Row 3. 12 + 6 = 18 sc. Two sc in every second loop.
Row 4. 18 + 6 = 24 sc. Two sc in every third.
Row 5. 24 + 4 = 28 sc. Two sc in every fourth.
6 - 7 rows. 28 sc. 8 row. 28 - 4 = 24 sc. Decrease every fifth. 9 row. 24 - 4 = 20 sc. Decrease every sixth. 10 - 12 rows. 20 sc. Cut off the pink thread.
Row 13. Take a white thread and knit 20 sc. You can lightly fill the head with padding polyester.
Row 14. Knit 20 sc, inserting the hook behind the inner wall of the bottom row, leaving the outer one free.
Row 15. 20 + 4 = 24 sc. Knit two sc in every fifth loop. Row 16. 24 sc. Row 17. 24 + 6 = 30 sc. Two in every fifth. Row 18. Change the thread to red and knit 30.
Row 19. 30 sc. Row 20. 30 + 6 = 36 sc.In every fifth, two. 21 - 26 rows. 36 sc. Row 27. 36 + 4 = 40 sc. In every ninth, two. 28 - 32 rows. 40 sc. Row 33. 40 + 4 = 44 sc. In every tenth, two. 34 - 38 rows. 44 sc Row 39. 44 + 4 = 48 sc. In every eleventh, two. 40 - 44 rows. 48 sc. Row 45. 48 + 4 = 52 sc. In every twelfth, two. 46 - 50 rows. 52 sc. Row 51. Change the thread to white, but do not cut the red one and knit 52 sc. Row 52. 52 sc.
Row 53. Again knit with red thread, without cutting off the white, 52 sc. Row 54. 52 sc.
Row 55. Cut the red thread and continue knitting 52 sc with white.
56 - 58 rows. 52 sc. 59 row. 52 - 6 = 46 sc. Knit a row, inserting the hook behind the inner wall of the bottom column.
Row 60. Start filling with padding polyester. 46 - 6 = 40 sc, skip every seventh column. Row 61. 40 - 6 = 34 sc.
Row 62. 34 - 6 = 28 sc. Row 63.28 – 6 = 22 sc. Row 64. 22 – 6 = 16 sc. Row 65. 16 – 6 = 10 sc. Row 66. Start knitting, knitting only every second column in the circle until 4 loops remain, then cut the thread and hide it in the knitting. Return to the place where we left the outer side of the loop free, begin knitting a row, inserting the hook behind this side.
This creates a border of 52 sc on the fold of the knitting. This border will give stability to the figure and decorate the edge. Cut and hide the thread.
Hands.Take pink cotton and cast on 6 sc in the amigurumi ring. Row 1. 6 sc. Row 2. 6 sc + 6 = 12 sc. Row 3. 12 + 3 = 15 sc. Knit two in every fourth column. Row 4 - Row 7. 15 sc.

Sew on both arms.
The collar is a cape.On the neck under the head we left the outer thread free. Now we will need it to tie the collar - cape. We put the hook under such a thread and pull out a loop.
Again we insert the hook under the adjacent thread and pull it out again.
Knit with one loop.
1 row.Knit 20 sc, when we reach the place where we started, turn the knitting and continue in the opposite direction, make one air loop (ch). Row 2. 20 sc + 4 = 24 sc, 1 ch. Double every fifth loop. Row 3. Turn the knitting 24 sc, 1 ch. Row 4. 24 + 4 = 28 sc, 1 ch. Double every sixth.
Row 5.Change the thread to red and knit 28 sc, 1 ch. Row 6. 28 + 4 = 32 sc, 1 ch. Every seventh. Row 7. 32 + 4 = 36 sc, 1 ch. Every eighth. Row 8. 36 + 4 = 40 sc, 1 ch. Every ninth. Row 9. 40 + 4 = 44 sc, 1 ch. Every tenth. Row 10. 44 + 4 = 48 sc, 1 ch. Every eleventh. Row 11. Change the thread to white, without cutting the red one. 48 + 4 = 52 sc, 1 ch.
Row 12. 52 + 4 = 56 sc. Row 13. 56 + 4 = 60 sc.Change the thread to red, do not cut the white. Row 14. 60 sc. Row 15. 60 sc. Cut the red thread and start the row with white. Row 16. 60 sc. Having reached the edge of the gate, we will continue to tie its inner part.
Beard. Cut about 24 - 25 threads of 12 cm each, this will be the beard.
Fold the thread in half and insert the hook behind the front stitches, starting from the side.
To make the beard less transparent, we will make it in two layers.
We'll do the hair the same way, only shorter. Hat.1 row. With red color, cast on 6 sc in the amigurumi ring. 2 row. 6 + 6 = 12 sc. 3 row. 12 + 3 = 15 sc. 4 row. 15 + 3 = 18 sc. 5 row. 18 + 3 = 21 sc. 6 row. 21 + 3 = 24 sc. 7 row. 24 + 3 = 27 sc. 8 row. 27 sc. Change the thread to white.
