The master class is dedicated to knitting beautiful stitches with your own hands
An airy stole of a delicate milky color witha light sparkle in the threads will not only be a warm companion in winter, but also a wonderful decoration for any outfit, will help to complement the image, will make you stand out from the crowd and add elegance. A beautiful milky shade makes it universal - because it goes with all colors. This stole was knitted as a gift to a wonderful woman, a friend of my mother. The size of the finished stole is 80 cm in width and 180 cm in length, excluding tassels. The airy pattern of this stole consists of only two elements - a double crochet and air loops. Therefore, even a beginner knitter can knit it, and experienced needlewomen will truly enjoy this work. In order to knit an airy stole, you need thin yarn - 100 g / 750 meters and hook No. 5. To start knitting, we cast on a chain consisting of 150 air loops.
The first row of our future stole will beconsist of arches, each of which will have 7 air loops. But the arches will be attached to the chain at different distances. To start the first row of the main pattern of our stole, we will knit 7 more air loops - this is the first arch of the main pattern and 3 air loops, which will act as the first column of the row. And we cling to the 13th loop from the hook. We do this with a regular single crochet. Why in the 13th - because 7 loops are an arch, 3 loops are a rise, another 3 loops are the first indent.
The next arch again consists of a chain, which has 7 air loops. But we will fasten it to the chain through 5 loops of the initial chain - in the 6th loop from the single crochet. We also fasten it with a regular column without a crochet.
Next, we knit an arch of seven air loops again. We secure our third arch by skipping 3 loops in the chain, that is, in the fourth.
So, alternating the number of loops skipped in the chain, we knit all 150 pieces. Odd arches - through the fourth loop, and even ones - in the sixth.
This row ends with an arch, which will be secured through three loops.
We begin knitting the second (excluding the chain) row of the stole. To do this, we will knit a chain of 7 air loops again. We fix it in the first arc of the previous row.
After that we will knit a chain of four air loops. Now we find the middle of the arc (the one that has five air loops at the base) and knit the 4th loop a column that will have two yarns.
Now we knit 3 air loops. After them, we knit a column with a pair of yarn overs in the same (4th) loop of the arch of the first row. We will get a kind of "tick" from columns.
Again we knit four air loops and attach this chain with a column to the middle of the arc of the previous row.
And so we knit the entire row.
At the end of the second row, after you have knitted a column, you need to knit two air loops and finish the row with a column with a pair of yarn overs.
The third row begins by knitting a chain of a dozen (12) stitches. The first group (5) of stitches are turning stitches, and 7 are pattern stitches.
Next, we knit a double crochet into the first double crochet of the second row.
We knit three loops and again a column with a pair of yarn overs in the second column of the “tick” of the previous row.
After this we knit a chain, which consists of seven loops. And again we knit a column with a pair of yarns, in the second "tick".
So we knit a whole row.
At the end of this row we will knit seven loops and a double crochet.
Fourth row. We start our row with a chain of five air loops. Then, we knit the fourth loop of the arc of the previous row into a column with a pair of yarns.
And again we knit a "tick" from the columns. Between our columns, a chain consisting of three air loops is still knitted.
Next we knit a chain of four loops. Now we need to close a couple of columns of the previous row. To do this, we knit the same column on the column with a pair of yarns. But we do not knit it completely - two loops should remain on the hook.
We immediately start knitting the next column with a pair of yarn overs over the second column of the check mark. We also do not knit it completely. There should be 3 loops on our hook.
And we knit all the loops at once. We got a closed "tick". Then we knit a chain of four loops.
In the next arc we again knit a “tick” from a pair of columns.
The rapport of this row is: four loops, a “tick”, four loops, a closed “tick” made of columns.
At the end of this row, after the last “tick”, we immediately knit a column with a pair of yarn overs without additional loops.
Row 5. We start this row with five loops for lifting. Then we knit a column with a pair of yarn overs into the outermost column of the "tick" of the previous row.
Three loops, a column with a pair of yarn overs.
This row is similar to the third, and the difference is only at the beginning and, accordingly, at the end of the row.
At the end of the fifth row, we knit parallel columns and immediately another column with a pair of yarn overs.
The sixth row is knitted similarly to the fourth row.In this row we will open new "check marks" and close those that we opened in the fourth row. We start with a chain of seven loops. We close the "check mark" by knitting the columns so that they have a common top (as in the 4th row).
Next, we repeat the rapport of the 4th row - 4 loops, a "tick" made of columns, four loops, a closed "tick" made of columns.
At the end of the row, knit a closed “tick”, a pair of air loops before the last column.
We knit the seventh row in the same way as the third.
From here all the rows begin to repeat. So, alternating rows, we knit to the required length (approximately 170 - 180 cm). The last row should be with open and closed "check marks". Having knitted the required number of rows, we begin the binding. Do not cut the thread! The binding will consist of only one single row - an arch of five air loops along the entire perimeter of the stole.
Now the thread needs to be cut and hidden.with a large-eyed needle in knitting. It is important that the short sides of the stole have the same number of arches! You can start decorating – tassels. For tassels, cut the thread into pieces 30 cm long (more or less, if you want longer or shorter tassels).
The brush will consist of 5 threads folded in half. In total, the brush will have 10 threads, each 15 cm long.
Fold the threads in half and thread the folded end through the arch of the binding.
Then we pull the free ends of the tassel through the loop that was formed when the threads were folded.
And we tighten the knot.
The first brush is ready.
Second.
And the third.
So we tie the tassels on the two short sides of our stole.
All that's left is to steam it through cheesecloth, tie it with a beautiful ribbon and it's ready to give!
