The master class will tell in detail about crochet work on an openwork scarf
The scarf has long ceased to be just a winter scarfan accessory whose purpose is only to warm. It is now fashionable to wear scarves and shawls at any time of year. They can be knitted, sewn, woven, warm or airy, plain or bright, made of wool or lace. And you can wear them not only with a coat or jacket. Scarves look very nice with dresses, blouses, as well as with tops and T-shirts. This light and openwork scarf made of ribbon lace can be worn with a dress in winter and go to work, and in the summer you can complement it with a white T-shirt and jeans. To knit a scarf you need:
- 1 coil of Forever Batik threads (100% microfiber, 50 gr 300 m);
- hook number 1:
- 4 buttons with 4 holes.
The scarf will consist of 4 lace ribbons, which we will connect together in the process of knitting. So, let's start knitting the first ribbon. To do this, you need to dial 5 air loops. Then we knit one double crochet into the first loop – the one furthest from the hook. This will be the first row. We knit 4 air loops.
And we knit a column in which 1 yarn over, through one loop from the first column. This is the second row.
Now we begin to form the lace itself. To do this, we knit six loops to the side.
And we will attach them between the first and second rows.
Let's make a couple more loops.
We will connect them at the beginning of knitting.
Now we knit 11 columns into the resulting ring, we knit the columns with a yarn over.
With the last, 12th column, we will start the third row of the ribbon.
For the third row, knit 1 loop and finish with a column.
Knit the 4th row of ribbon (4 loops and a column.)
And, turning the knitting, the fifth.
From the fifth row we will make another branch of 6 air loops.
Let's connect it between rows 4 and 5.
Then 2 loops.
Connect between rows 3 and 4.
We will tie 12 columns and form the 6th row of knitting.
Next we knit rows 7 and 8.
From the eighth we again form a loop with a binding.
So we knit the first ribbon of the required length (approximately 150-160 cm).
We begin to knit the second ribbon, similar to the first.
But, having knitted 6 columns in the branch loop, we connect it with the first loop of the first ribbon, knitting the central columns together.
We finish knitting the loop separately.
The next loop will be in the other direction, we knit it the same way as before. We will attach the third lace ribbon to it.
Now let's connect the third loop again with the first ribbon.
So we will knit 4 lace ribbons connected to each other.
Now we need to make beautiful ends for our scarf. To do this, we will make a binding. We will start with the last loop, make 4 single crochets to the edge. Then we will make a chain in which there will be 7 loops.
Let's connect our chain with the outer loop of the next ribbon.
We will tie two adjacent loops of the second and third ribbons with simple columns.
Let's knit 7 loops again.
And we will connect it with the last, fourth ribbon.
We will tie the loop with 4 simple columns.
Now we will knit a net of arches. Each arch will have 5 loops. We form the first one.
And we secure it through 1 column.
So we continue knitting.
We knit 18 arches.
We will knit the last, 19th arch like this – 2 loops and a double crochet. This will give us the opportunity to start knitting the next row from the center of the arch.
We knit the second row of arches. There should already be 18 of them. The decrease will occur due to cutting off half of the arch from each end of the row.
This is how you need to knit up to 1 arch.
Do this on both sides.
Now take 4 buttons. Buttons with 4 holes are better suited for binding.
We make a loop on the hook and insert the hook into one of the holes of the button.
We pull the thread through this hole.
We knit a loop and repeat again.
Now we move on to the next hole – we knit 3 loops.
And we will make 2 loops from the second hole.
Now for the transition we will knit 5 loops.
And so we will tie the whole button.
For beauty, let's make another row of simple columns around the button.
Now we will make a bridge from air loops to another button. 60 loops will be enough.
Without cutting the thread, we will tie the second button in exactly the same way.
This is what the button pendant should look like.
Let's connect it to the loop at the top of the arched frame.
Let's decorate the second end of the scarf with a pendant made of buttons.
Now we need to smooth out our lace scarf through gauze and we can go show off our fashion!
