A master class with photos and descriptions will teach you how to make a New Year's craft with your own hands – snowman
The lifespan of glass Christmas tree decorations is verysmall – it’s good if they live for several seasons. But even in this case, they get cracks and chips. Especially often, the top with the wire holder breaks off of glass toys. But if the ball itself remains intact, you can give it a second life by using it for a craft. In my toy box, I found two decorations with chipped tops: a matte white ball and a translucent toy in the form of two balls standing on top of each other. After looking at them, I decided to make a snowman out of these toys.
To work I needed:
- 2 fur-tree toys;
- glue for glass;
- 2 half-beads, a piece of wire and a red cone-shaped detail from the child's designer for the face;
- Red and white knitted fabric with pile for scarf and cap;
- scissors, thread, needle.
First I glued 2 Christmas tree decorations together so thatI got a blank for a snowman. After the glue dried, I started finishing the snowman. I made a scarf from a strip of red fabric, which, in addition to decoration, also served a practical function - it covered the gluing area. To sew a hat, I cut out 2 red triangles and a white strip to fit the top ball of the snowman. I didn’t just put the finished hat on, but secured it with glue - otherwise it would slip off. We “draw” the snowman’s face like this: eyes from two half-beads, a smile from a piece of wire, a nose from a construction set part. We glue all these elements. The snowman is ready, but we need to create a comfortable “residence” for him. To do this, we roll a ring out of tinsel, similar to a bird's nest. We put a snowman there, add Christmas tree decorations in the shape of Christmas trees, a little Santa Claus. The composition is ready, we will put it under the Christmas tree. Happy New Year and Christmas!
