In practice, there are quite a few varieties of cross stitch, but the most popular is the 1-sided simple full cross stitch. It provides crosses on the front side, and on the back – stitches in horizontal or vertical position. All crosses are created by two diagonal stitches that intersect, while the stitches along the bottom will be laid from the right side to the left (from the upper right corner of the square to the lower left), but the upper ones - from left to right.
Your embroidery will be neat only ifprovided that you strictly comply with these rules. When making the transition from one row to the next, along the right edge from the wrong side you should lay a connecting stitch vertically, which will be 21 times longer than the height of the cross itself. First we need to embroider the right side of the picture, clearly defining its height.
When creating the left side of the picture, you shoulddefine the border width. Thanks to acrylic threads, the product will be light-resistant, thermoplastic and durable. And in its external parameters it is similar to wool.
Once your embroidered item is complete, weshould wash it in lukewarm water and soap. Then gently squeeze, place in a soft cloth and allow time to dry. To do this, you can lay the canvas on a flat surface of material that absorbs moisture well. But it’s better to iron it on a soft surface. The embroidery should not be ironed, but treated with steam on the reverse side. The final stage will be to frame the embroidery. To do this, just purchase a ready-made frame and insert your product there. Or you can create a passe-partout from multi-colored paper.That's it! The cross-stitched picture is ready!
