Today we decorate fully functionalgift bottle. It is convenient to use on the road (for hiking or fishing) for strong drinks or as a decoration for the home. The two main motives are a picture of the sea battle and an old map. The motifs are connected by the background color and the crakel grid. Decor - direct decoupage on the glass and aging. The work is not difficult, even a beginner will cope with it. Materials to be used in the decoration process:

  • a thick-glass billet with a lid;
  • sandpaper "zero";
  • water-based materials: paints and varnish;
  • two-component craquel composition (in this work - the composition "Idea" from the company "Maimery");
  • grout - this can be artistic bitumen,specialized trowelling pigment, oil paint, pastel or even eye shadow (in this work - the oil paint shade "Burnt Umber" from Van Piur);
  • decoupage card or printout with the desired motive;
  • a glass primer or a universal spray paint;
  • brush or toplovki (in extreme cases - a piece of art sponge or even a finger);
  • sisal in twine;
  • thermo-gun;
  • Jewelery suspension - steering wheel for decoration.

We will decorate this bottle of an interesting shape: on the one hand it is slightly convex, on the other - it is concave. The volume is 250 ml. And only then proceed to the next step - we cover the surface with white paint. And now we'll work with the motive. If you have a printout for your work, you need to preliminarily thin it (you can use a clerical clip, emery or fingers and water). To do this, the reverse side is treated with "nazhdachkoy" to the desired thickness or glued with scotch tape, then gently removed with a layer of paper. Thus, there remains a thin layer of paper with a pattern. And you can carefully wet the back of the picture and very gently and gently roll the top layer of paper with your fingers. But here there are tricks: the drawing should be printed with pigment ink on thick photographic paper and the motif should be fixed with aerosol varnish (in the worst case - with hairspray) before water procedures. When the surface is prepared, it will be easier to stick to the glass, and the joints will be less visible. Picture №3 You can glue the motif to decoupage glue ("Mod Podge", for example), PVA or acrylic lacquer. The latter, by the way, at the same time will give a protective film. Smoothen, remove air and excess moisture with a napkin. Master class on making a gift bottle with their own hands in the technique of decoupage, suitable for beginners. Here you can use both a flat brush and a round brush. Pick the right tone and close the white parts, then cover with three or four layers of acrylic lacquer. First, we level the background with darker tones, then we form waves and a light tone - foam. At the same stage, it is possible to apply a crackel net. For this purpose, a pair of varnish varnishes is applied alternately. It is important to strictly follow the recommendations of manufacturers to get beautiful cracks. You can overwrite the pigment, oil paints or bitumen (in this case - burnt umber, oil). If the second step needs to be washed off, it is recommended to coat the cracks with shellac varnish (the first step). Allow to dry well.
