Master class on crocheting openwork braid with photo – diagrams and description
Using handmade braidvery widely. It can be used for finishing clothes, interior items (for example, curtains, tablecloths, napkins), when wrapping a gift or in further creativity - decoupage, scrapbooking, sewing. There are a lot of applications - you just need to fantasize. Another advantage of knitted tape is that it can be made in the desired color, width and texture.
A simple braid made of sectionally dyed threads looks very interesting. This is the braid we will knit today. For work you will need a skein of sectionally dyed threads and a hook. The first option.
We make a chain of 10 air loops.
We knit five double crochets into the loops of the air chain. We start with the sixth loop from the hook. (6, 7, 8, 9, 10).
We unfold the knitting. We make five air loops. In the double crochets of the previous row we knit 1 double crochet, 1 air loop (skip the column), double crochet, again an air loop (skip the column) and finish with a double crochet.
We turn the knitting. We make five air loops and knit double crochets into all the loops of the previous row – 5 double crochets.
So, alternating rows, we knit a ribbon of the required length. Second option.
We also start knitting - 10 airloops. But in the first row we knit 3 double crochets (in the 6th, 7th and 8th loops), make 1 chain stitch (skip one loop of the chain) and in the 10th chain stitch from the hook we knit a double crochet.
We turn the knitting, make five air loops. We knit the second row exactly like the first - 3 double crochets, air loop, double crochet.
And so we knit until the desired length of the tape. Third option.
We knit the first and second rows as in the first case - 10 air loops, 5 double crochets in 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 air loops.
We unfold the knitting. We knit five chain stitches, a double crochet into the outermost double crochet of the first row, 3 chain stitches (skip three double crochets) and again a double crochet into the outermost double crochet of the previous row.
We turn the knitting. We knit five air loops and five double crochets, in each loop of the second row.
We turn the knitting. We repeat the second row. We knit like this until the required length of the tape.
