This master class shows how to knit a large napkin, which will consist of several separately knitted motifs. These motifs are knitted quite quickly and not very difficult. And the napkin turns out very beautiful and lacy. To knit a napkin we will need:

• yarn,
• hook,
• needle for sewing.

Let's start making the napkin. We collect 8 air loops, which we will close into a ring. We will close with a connecting loop or, as it is also called, a half-column. We make 3 air loops and 2 more loops. We make a yarn over and knit a column with a yarn over in this ring. We make 2 air loops and again knit a column with a yarn over.In total we need to make 8 of these double crochets.Now after connecting the beginning and end of the rowLet's start knitting the second row. Knit one single crochet to end up in the middle of the arch. Next, knit 3 air loops for lifting, make one yarn over and knit an unfinished double crochet into the arch, then make another yarn over and knit another unfinished double crochet into the same arch. We will knit an unfinished double crochet like this: make a yarn over, insert the hook into the loop and pull the working thread through. Now, again, grab the working thread and pull it through the first loop and yarn over that we have on the hook. And we will not knit everything else that is left on the hook. In total, we should get 4 unfinished double crochets with one yarn over. Then we connect all 4 unfinished columns by pulling the thread through all the loops on the hook. Next, we dial 10 air loops. And in the next arch we again knit four unfinished columns with one yarn over, which we then connect.Since we have 8 arches, we should also have 8 bundles of double crochet stitches.Next we proceed to the last row.We knit one single crochet to be inside the arch of air loops. We make 2 air loops for lifting and knit six columns with one yarn inside the arch, then we knit 4 air loops and in the same arch, we knit 7 more columns with one yarn. In the next arch, we knit 7 columns with one yarn, we collect 4 air loops and again knit 7 columns with one yarn. We kind of tie our resulting arches of air loops. And we will have a small chain of air loops on the top of each such tied arch. It forms a small corner. So the napkin should have 8 vertices.So, one motif of our napkin is ready. You can use any colors and shades of yarn for knitting it. You can also knit a multi-colored or melange napkin.Our large napkin will consist of six such small motifs. This means we need to knit five more such small napkins.Next, using a needle, we sew the motifs to each other.to a friend. We will sew them on the very angular tops that were formed during the binding, when knitting the last row. Our napkin is ready! You can knit not only a napkin from such motifs, but also a beautiful large tablecloth that will decorate your home. Or you can knit a couple of such napkins and put them on the table as a coaster for hot things, for example, or instead of a saucer for a cup of tea or coffee.
