The master class will teach you how to knit a cute New Year's craft - a snowman in a hat
By the New Year, many needlewomen start sewing,felting, knitting Father Frost and Snow Maiden. But it is worth noting that in addition to the main characters of New Year's Eve, there are others. For example, snowmen. And so in this master class we will knit one such snowman to accompany Father Frost and his granddaughter. Our snowman will be dressed in green mittens, a green scarf and an elegant green hat. You can take any other colors. For the snowman we will need:
- knitting threads for white, green and orange;
- hook;
- filler;
- half-beads;
- needle;
- thread;
- hot glue.
We will start knitting with the most important detail -from the snowman's balls that form the body and head. A snowman can have two or three of these balls. We will knit two. First, we need to make a slip stitch. And in it, we will start knitting six columns. Now in five rows, we will make six increases. We need to end up with thirty-six loops (columns). Then we will knit without any increases for four rows. And then we will make decreases to separate the two balls from each other. In each row, we will make four decreases. And we will knit four of these rows. But in the fifth, we will make six decreases. And after that, we will return to increases again. We will make them in three rows. In total, we need to get six increases in each row. We knit four rows. And in three we will make decreases again. Four pieces each. And in the next row, we will make six decreases. Then we will decrease until the hole is closed.Now the snowman needs to be provided with hands.We will start knitting them with green threads. First, as always, we make a slip stitch and knit six single crochet stitches into it. We will make increases. Six of them. We will knit two rows. And we will knit the finger of the mitten. We will make a yarn over and insert the hook into the loop, grab the thread and pull it out. We will not knit now. But we will repeat all this four more times and all four times into the same loop.Now let's knit all the loops at once andwe will make an air one after that. You will get a finger on a mitten like this. By the way, this version of knitting a finger is also suitable for knitting mittens for other toys. For example, dolls.In the next row, we will make three decreases. We will knit one more row. And we will change the thread to white. We will knit five rows in white. One arm is ready, we knit the second.Our snowman will be wearing a hat.It, like the mittens, will be green. We will knit six columns in a sliding loop and make six increases in three rows. And then we will knit a row without them for the back walls of the loops.And we will knit five more rows of the cylinder. Next we will knit with double crochets, making an increase in every second loop of the cylinder.We will not add to the next row, but will knit it with half double crochets.To complete the hat, we will knit a snowman and a scarf. We will knit it with regular double crochet stitches. In total, you need to knit one row.And the last detail that we haven’t tied together yet- this is the nose. In a real snowman it is made of carrot. And so we will try to imitate it here with orange threads. We knit six loops into a ring (sliding loop) and knit three or four more rows. We will not make any increases here.All that remains is to sew the snowman's arms and nose.We will also take black half beads and glue them with hot glue. These will be the snowman's eyes. We will put a hat on him and tie a scarf. The snowman is ready! You can put it under the Christmas tree or give it to someone. Or you can sew a loop and decorate the New Year's beauty with it.
