The master class will teach you how to make a New Year toy with your own hands - openwork paper lanterns.

Decorate your New Year's holiday with suchbeautiful lanterns, symbols of spiritual light, home comfort and joy. Creating them with love and inspiration, you fill them with warmth and make them truly magical! For lanterns we will need:

• a sheet of yellow cardboard,
• ruler,
• pencil,
• knife for artwork,
• scissors,
• Double-sided tape,
• paper tape,
• punch holes of snowflakes, flowers and butterflies,
• glue,
• red half-beads,
• tool for creasing,
• silk ribbon width of 0.4 cm and length of about 20 cm.

These are templates for future flashlights. On this stencil the center of each side is decorated with a snowflake. And this one is made in a floral style. If desired, the base of the flashlight can be decorated with any carved elements. It can be flowers, butterflies or abstract images. Choose the template you like and print it on paper. Cut out all the patterns and outlines with a protruding knife. Now cut the workpiece along the outside lines. The next stage of the work is scoring all the folds. From the accuracy and accuracy of this action, the shape of the future souvenir depends, so do not rush. If desired, the edges of the connecting strips can be rounded. We decorate the centers of snowflakes with flowers, which are made with the help of figured composters. We glue ready-made flowers with paper tape before the sides of the lantern are glued together. Now proceed to join the parties. We apply double-sided adhesive tape on strips. And we glue the middle of the lantern first. And then - its tops. It is convenient to fasten the silk ribbon to one of the vertices, before the last segment is connected. In this case, the protrusions that should attach the suspension can be cut. We decorate our flashlight with a beautiful butterfly. Cut it out of the red cardboard and paste it on the top. Add a few colors. We attach them to selected places with paper tape. And our New Year's flashlight is ready! At the end of the work on the silk thread string two contrasting flowers and glue them together. Color combinations and design options for flashlights can be extremely diverse. For them, you can use paper forScrapbooking, decorated in New Year's style, and holographic cardboard. The finished New Year's souvenir has the following dimensions: height - 13 cm, side width - 5 cm. Using the same templates, it is easy to manufacturea beautiful gift box in the form of a flashlight. For this, the stencil should be increased so that only two sections of the template are placed on the sheet. From the inside, it is better to glue the carton with a paper of contrasting color. And one of the four upper segments should not be glued - this will be the lid of the box. The size of such a box can be quite impressive - two times more than our souvenirs. And these lanterns will perfectly adorn the New Year's holiday, will add joy and peace of mind. They turned out bright, light and truly festive!
