The master class will teach you how to make a New Year's craft with your own hands, the symbol of 2016 – monkey
Hello, craftswomen and needlewomen! Very soon the New Year 2016. I offer to your attention a master class of a cheerful monkey - a symbol of the coming year. For work we will need:
- a satin ribbon with a width of 12 mm in brown color (5 meters);
- a satin ribbon with a width of 12 mm in pink color (1 meter);
- satin ribbon 50 mm wide brown, pink and red;
- felt;
- needle and thread;
- scissors;
- a lighter or a candle;
- tweezers;
- glue gun.
Cut a 12 mm wide brown ribbon into pieces, burn the edges, fold the ribbon in half lengthwise, string it on a thread and pull it together:
- belly - 85 cm to 12 cm;
- tail - 70 cm to 10 cm;
- head 50 cm to 8 cm;
- legs, arms 4 segments of 35 cm. We tighten up to 4 cm.
12mm pink tape:
- belly – 60 cm, tightened to 10 cm;
- handles 2 segments of 8 cm to 1 cm;
- legs 2 segments of 13 cm to 1.5 cm.
We immediately sew pink compressed pieces of 1 cm onto the brown handles, and we sew pink pieces of 1.5 cm onto the brown legs.We should get compressed segments.Cut out the base for our monkey from felt: Head 3 cm in diameter and body 3 cm wide and 4 cm long. Glue the head to the body (you can cut out the whole base at once.)From satin ribbon 50 mm browncut 4 squares 5x5, from pink ribbon 50 mm 1 square 5x5, from red satin ribbon 50 mm wide 1 square 5x5. For the ears we make 2 brown round petals with folds. To do this, take a brown square 5x5, burn it, fold it diagonally, then again diagonally and begin to fold the folds three on each side. Now cut off the excess and seal with a lighter. For the muzzle we make 1 double round invertedpetal from a brown and red square. To do this, take 1 brown square and one red one, burn the edges with a lighter, fold each square diagonally, we get two triangles, put the red triangle on the brown one, fold both triangles diagonally again and connect all the ends together, cut off the excess from the ends, seal with a lighter. Now cut off the excess from both sides, seal each side. To turn the petal inside out, we need to cut off the sealed end again, turn the petal inside out and singe the edges so that they do not crumble. From a brown square 5x5 we make exactly the samethe same petal, only single. We make exactly the same inverted single petal from a pink 5x5 square. Thus, for the muzzle we got three inverted petals, one double, one single brown and one single pink petal.Let's start assembling the monkey.First, we glue the arms, legs, tail (a 10 cm compressed brown piece) and ears to the base using a glue gun. Then we roll the pink belly into a flat spiral and glue it to the center of the body. Around the pink belly we glue a brown section of 12 cm. We fix the tail by gluing it to the left hand.Now we glue the muzzle.First, we glue the double petal to the edgethe bottom of the head, so that the petal sticks out, glue a single brown petal on top, we get a muzzle with a tongue. Now we take a pink petal, spread glue on the edge of the petal, where the melted end is and glue it to the top of the head, so that it is close to our brown muzzle, the bottom of the pink petal should remain free.Now we carefully glue it around the headbrown compressed section 8 cm. Glue eyes on the pink muzzle, if you don't have eyes, you can use beads or half beads. Well, that's basically it. I also decorated my monkey with money.You can hang such a monkey on a Christmas tree if you thread a thread through the edge of the head, or you can stick a magnet on the back and you will have a souvenir for the refrigerator. Good luck and creative success to you in the New Year!
