Every family has its own traditions. I'm baking sugar cakes for the New Year. Every year they differ on hurray! Always delicious, there are a lot of them, and you can treat them to all their relatives and friends. Do not stale, as covered with glaze. Yes, and cook them a pleasure - simply and quickly. I received this recipe from my old friend in my youth and with gratitude I always remember her when baking gingerbread. Prepare all the products:
- 1kg of flour,
- 1 kg of sugar,
- 4 eggs,
- milk 0.5 liters,
- vanillin or cinnamon,
- 1 tablespoon of soda or baking powder
- vinegar to quench soda.
In a large saucepan, pour 3 cups of sugar.
We pour 2 cups of milk into a saucepan with sugar.
We put the saucepan on a slow fire.
Constantly stir, so as not to burn.
Bring the mixture to the full dissolution of sugar, to a boil. A high foam will rise.
Pour vanillin or cinnamon.
And now we start to pour, stirring constantly, 3 glasses of flour.
The dough turns liquid.
1 tablespoon of soda is quenched with vinegar.
We pour soda into the dough.
The dough is stirred. Cool it down.
We drive into the dough 4 eggs.
Pour another 1 cup of flour.
Knead the dough.
Put a dough on a baking sheet lined with paper.
We put in the oven a baking sheet. Bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
Gingerbread flushed. Can be removed from the baking tray and put in a large bowl. It is in great, because there will be a lot of gingerbread.
Let's start making the cake glaze. For this, we prepare sugar and milk.
2 cups of sugar pour into a large saucepan.
Half a glass of milk poured into a saucepan with sugar.
We put on a slow fire and cook, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved. To give a brighter taste, I add a pinch of salt and vanillin to the syrup.
Cook the syrup to a high foam.
And now the most important and interesting moment. Spice the cakes with hot syrup and mix.
We take a large wooden spoon and mix gingerbread in syrup, from below upwards. It is important that all the cakes are coated with syrup while it's hot!
Leave the gingerbread cookies for a few hours, and the glaze will freeze.
