- A simple pencil;
- special crayons or a piece of soap;

- sequins.
Almost anything is suitable for making a soft Christmas treeany fabric: faux fur, velour or plush, fleece, different types of knitwear. You can even get creative and use not a plain green one, but a colored one with a pattern. The main thing is that it should have sufficient density. So, you have chosen the fabric. You can start working. First, let's make a paper pattern. To do this, fold a sheet of thick paper in half along its entire length. The resulting half is divided conditionally into 3 parts. On each of them, a tier of the Christmas tree is outlined. The larger the size of the sheet used, the larger the product, and vice versa. In this master class, an A4 sheet was used.
We cut out the resulting paper Christmas tree.
We trace the cut out stencil on the wrong side of the fabric with special chalk or a dry piece of soap. Don't forget about seam allowances. You can leave about 1 cm.
You need to draw 2 identical parts of the toy.
We cut out the Christmas tree blanks.
We stitch the two parts together, leaving a small opening for stuffing the toy with filler. On the sewn parts, to give shape, notches are made on the allowances from the edges to the seams.
We turn the Christmas tree blank inside out.We stuff it with padding through the hole left. We cut out a rectangle from dark-colored fabric, fold it in half, stitch it, turn it inside out and also stuff it with padding polyester. We sew it to the tree. This will show the trunk. The product is not filled with padding polyester very tightly, so that the tree does not look like a ball.
We mark each tier of the tree with chalk.
We make a stitch along the marked lines using a running stitch to give the product the required shape.
Now let's decorate the Christmas tree with ribbons orbright scraps of fabric in the form of circles, triangles, and diamonds. You can take any fabric with a shiny surface: satin, metallic fabrics, glitter, or lurex. If the edges of the fabric are fraying, you can fold them over or melt them with a candle. To add volume to the Christmas tree decorations, put a little padding polyester under each of them when sewing them on. You can also use beads, sequins, and bows to decorate the toy.
If as a material for the Christmas treewe use lint-free fabric, we give it the effect of frost or snow. To do this, take equal parts of white gouache, water, PVA glue, mix and apply with a sponge in neat strokes to the paws of the tree. While the surface is wet, you can sprinkle it with glitter. Only children over 3 years old are allowed to play with such a tree, you should not test the effect of gouache and glitter on the digestive system of babies.
The soft toy Christmas tree is ready!
This way, by spending just a few hours on fascinating creativity, you can please a loved one, giving them pleasant memories for many years.
