Master class with photos will teach how to make a hot decoupage of a candle with a napkin for the New Year
Decorate a candle, turning it into a New Yearaccessory, can be in 15 minutes. You can paste on the candle crystals, tie bows, decorate with acrylic paints, sprinkle with sequins. Another type of decor is decoupage, which is best done on a candle "hot way". Take any sufficiently thick candle (D = 5 cm),a New Year napkin with a small pattern (so that small fragments can be separated), a teaspoon, a lighter, a small candle (working), acrylic shiny contours. Separate the top layer from the napkin. Cut with scissors or tear out small piecesfrom the napkin. For example, here I tore out squares with little bears. The size of the fragments was chosen so that the sum of their lengths was equal to the length of the circle of the candle. We light the working candle. Heat the concave surface of a teaspoon over the working candle flame. We press one prepared piece of napkin tomiddle of a candle. The back side of the heated spoon is carried out slowly from above on a piece of napkin. We make light stroking movements with a warm spoon, not pressing strongly, so that the paraffin starts to soften. Under the influence of temperature, paraffin melts and is absorbed into the napkin. Periodically warm up the spoon and repeat this manipulation until the whole piece is "glued" to the candle with paraffin. Wipe the surface of the spoon from the soot, so as not to accidentally stain the work. When one piece is stuck, exactly the next, aligning the edges. Similarly, with a hot spoon, follow the second bear cub. If you correctly select the size of the fragments, their joint will not be visible. Brilliant acrylic contours, put emphasis on the figures of cubs. After drying, the whitish base of the contours becomes transparent, and the glitter will shine. Here is such a "hot decoupage" on a candle, with some skill, you can only do in 15 minutes. It is not necessary to cover this decor with varnish.
