Master-class with detailed description will teach how to crochet baby booties for newborns

Booties are the first shoes in a baby's life.Many mothers put them on almost from birth - booties look very beautiful and warm the baby's feet on a walk. The products are especially cozy when they are knitted by a loving mother or grandmother. Now there is a very large variety of booties in shape: everyday, booties-sandals with open toes, booties-uggs in the form of high warm boots, booties-shoes, booties-sneakers, as well as booties for christening, which should be comfortable and with a minimum number of fasteners, decorated with symbolic crosses, beads, pearls or lace white ribbons. Particular attention should be paid to the decoration of booties: strengthen buttons, beads, ribbons so that the child cannot tear off and swallow small parts. And besides this, the first shoes should be comfortable, light, of the correct shape and hold well on the foot. It is not advisable to use internal seams, they need to be removed or replaced with external ones. In my master class, I will tell you how to crochet simple booties for a baby. The work will be understandable for both beginners and experienced craftswomen, and will not take much free time. Legend:

  • v.p – air loop;
  • s.s – connecting column;
  • st. s/n – double crochet;
  • st. b/n – single crochet.

For work we will need:

  • hook number 2.5;
  • yarn "Pekhorka children's" white wool (50 g/200 m);
  • yarn for binding 100 cotton "Iris" soft blue;
  • blue satin ribbon;
  • white mother-of-pearl beads - 4 pcs;
  • scissors.

We begin our work by dialing 11 v.p and plus 3 lifting loops, enter into the 4th loop from the hook and knit according to the pattern 3 rows in a circle. This chain is the basis. The size of the sole depends on how many loops will be dialed initially. The more loops, respectively, the larger the size of the booties. In our case, the sole is 10 cm from the toes to the heel, which corresponds to a baby from 1 to 3 months. Photo number 12We tie the top of the booties with yarn of a different color,For a boy, I took a soft blue thread 100% cotton, you can use blue, green, for a girl, red, pink will do. We start with 5 air loops through the loop of the bottom row and so knit in a circle to the end, alternating one row. We also tie the sole of the booties with soft blue yarn. We collect 5 air loops, then through the loop on the sole we connect with a single crochet and so knit in a circle. We tie the toe in a semicircle with air loops with the same yarn, starting from the right edge. At the end, we tightly fix the last loop and cut the end of the thread.A master class with a detailed description will teach how to crochet booties for newborns. Now your child's feet will be warm and cozy. Such booties are easy to knit and will not take much time, but at the end of the work they will bring pleasure to both you and the child with their originality, beauty and positive energy invested in them. This option is more suitable for boys in a soft blue color, for girls you can decorate with a knitted or ready-made flower, sew beads on the edges of the sole, sew on ribbons, appliques. You can also use Velcro and ties so that the booties do not slip off the foot.
