The parking method was invented to facilitate workEmbroiderers who are not afraid to take up work, where you need to use hundreds of shades of thread. After all, when embroidering such work, it is not clever to get confused in the fabric, threads, scheme ... The essence of the parking method is to embroider some specific part of the picture (as a rule, it is equal to a square with a side of 10 cells). When work by one thread comes to an end, it is not fixed or cut. Instead, the thread "park" in the place where the first cross of the same color will be sewn on the next section of the diagram.
Embroidery by parking significantly optimizesEmbroidery process, only need to adjust. Thus, the work is faster, besides this, the method allows you to see the mistakes made and correct them in time.

General recommendations

It is necessary to say that embroidery by parking method is notHas some strict limitations and instructions. The most important condition is that the embroidery process should be fun, and should also be easy to navigate in the workflow.

It is better to fix the material on the embroidery machine. Each thread can be threaded into a separate needle, and you can constantly change it. Both ways have their drawbacks. In the first case, a large number of needles will be constantly at work - this can lead to a loss of the needle, you can chop your hands. If, however, the end is taken out and retracted, the thread loses its original appearance. As for the length of the thread - it also depends on the experience and skill of the embroiderer. You can embroider a thread of any length - the main thing is that it does not get confused. However, if it is difficult to work this way, you can use a short thread. The method of parking implies the execution of each cross separately, however, if there is a plot that can be embroidered in rows, this is not forbidden. Threads that are not needed in the work can be secured with a hair clip (invisible or "frog").

Organization of the workplace

As mentioned earlier, for cross-stitching using the parking method, you will need a machine. This is especially important if the final version of the embroidery is assumed to be large in size.
Also need a pair of special foam rubberPads, trimmed from above with unbleached brown. Unbleached - so that your eyes do not get tired from too bright whiteness, and even more so from the variegated prints. They need to be sewn on an elastic band, the length of which should be sufficient for convenient movement on the machine and at the same time, so that they do not hang out. On one of the pillows is attached a special tablet on which in the squares are written numbers of thread colors, the symbols denoting them on the diagram. In each square, insert a needle with the appropriate thread. The second pillow is for convenience: the needle is quickly and easily inserted into it, it is removed, but it does not fall out.
Because this work remains untouched (except occasionally to check its accuracy), non-working threads hang on it and do not interfere with the embroidery.

Having shown a little imagination and sharpness, all the necessary tools and materials can be placed immediately at hand - on the frame of the machine. Here is an approximate list of these tools:

  • Needles (they can be placed in one container. The main thing is that it is easily opened with one movement, and so that it can be attached to the machine. In this container it is necessary to put some drying material, so that moisture does not accumulate there and the needles do not rust);
  • Threads wound around signed bibinks;
  • Thread-maker (when the number of threads is large, it saves considerable effort and time);
  • scissors.

All metal objects can be attached to theMagnets around the perimeter of the machine. Magnets, in turn, can be secured with double-sided tape. For other items you can twist the screws and hang them on the eyelets. Bobbins with threads are conveniently attached to the rings for several pieces (depending on the diameter), which are hung here as well.
Very convenient when everything is at hand. This is all the more important when embroidering large-sized works with several dozen or even hundreds of different shades of thread.

Technics of embroidery by a method of a parking

The method of embroidering with parking squares The main principle of embroidery parking is a certain order. The most common ways to park when embroidering a cross is to embroider in squares and rows.
If the symbols are near, they are embroideredOne thread. When embroidering the method of parking in rows, the crosses are sewn one by one vertically or horizontally. When applying the parking squares, they are embroidered in order within one specific square.
When in the allotted area all the symbols of oneColors are embroidered, you need to bring the thread to the front side at the point of the next row or square, where the embroidery begins with this thread. The direction of such work can be anything. So, if you embroider a parking from top to bottom, then the thread needs to be parked in any lower corner of the cage. Accordingly, if the bottom up - then the upper corner.

Parking method in rowsThe convenience of the parking methodSquares is that the embroidery is not dispersed throughout the canvas, sometimes very large, but is embroidered within one small section. Also, this way of embroidering the method of parking is more convenient to work with a single needle, although this is not important.
Embroidery parking in rows is more suitable forWork with several needles. To embroider a cross follows from left to right. The thread will be parked in the next row - in the lower left corner of the cross of the same color according to the scheme.

Diagonal parking

Diagonal parking It should be noted that the methodParking squares has its drawback - the embroidered picture shows their boundaries. They are not conspicuous, but, nevertheless, it can be seen. To avoid this, you can use the method of diagonal parking.
You need to start this work in the lower left corner. The point is that each next row of the square moves diagonally to one cell. This shift can be drawn on the diagram - so it's easier not to get confused.
In order for the crosses to be straight, andThe underside of the neat, it is important to follow a certain pattern: start embroidery cross in the upper right corner, display on the front side for embroidery of the second half of the cross in the upper left corner.
Of course, the first time it can be difficult to understand,How much the parking method facilitates the work of the embroiderer. Especially those who have visual perception works better. Therefore, before dismissing the words "I do not understand anything", it makes sense to search the network for videos with master classes and see clearly that there is nothing complicated in embroidery with this method, but if you use it, the process will go faster than usual and More pleasant.
