The work has only one purpose -get the effect of a picture painted with paints. The napkin decoupage technique strives for this. With the help of special additions, as well as special schemes, making the decoupage technique inside our future product will be more than a simple task. Magazine illustrations, special papers from wrappers, labels, as well as thoughtful decoupage cards that can be bought in special stores can be suitable for the drawing. Based on the materials that will be offered below, you can make your own jar in a New Year's style:
- Take an empty tin can
- You will need a napkin or a card for decoupage
- Scissors
- Brushes for drawing and tinting a drawing
- PVA glue
- Small file
- Paints made of acrylic
- Cracelure (lacquer), spray-varnish
- White primer for decoupage
- Sponge from foam rubber
- Hairdryer
- Alcohol or vodka
First, you need to take an empty jar, preferably from under the olives and then rinse and wipe. You can use alcohol for this action. Afterwards, you need to apply a primer to perform the necessary actions for decoupage. Perhaps you do not have a special primer, but acrylic paint of white color, or the color of your napkin picture, is an excellent substitute. The primer needs time to dry.Preparing the drawings While the jar is drying, weIt is necessary to form drawings from napkins. In our case - there are several such options. It is necessary to separate the color layer of the first type, with which the work will take place. We fold back the other two layers of the napkin. You can also tear off the drawings using the outline, then the napkin transition with the base will not be so noticeable. We attach our drawings to the jar and then determine their position on the jar (final). After, the drawing must be glued in order to form a smooth surface. In this case - it is impossible to tear the drawing. Using a regular file, we lay out the drawings face down. They need to be well moistened with water using a brush, then smoothed out and then get rid of the folds and wrinkles of the drawing. How much the file will easily straighten out, and there will be no folds and wrinkles on the drawing. It remains to lubricate the napkin with glue, which was diluted with water. All unnecessary water should drain from the file. Then, we attach the drawings for the places on the jar to our desired zones. Next, the file must be separated from the jar. The motifs will remain glued to the jar.
Gluing the motifs You need to make sure thatthe element of the drawing does not produce wrinkles, and air bubbles do not appear inside. To do this, they need to be driven out with careful movements of the brush. The pasted drawings need to be dried, you can speed up the procedure with a hair dryer. The drawing will become more lively and voluminous if you paint it with acrylic paints. Some moments should be smeared with PVA glue. Also, glitter should be applied and the edges of the drawing should be processed with blisters.
Let's get started with the paint and let it dry.to varnish the surface of the can. For this work you will need a craquelure varnish. The drawing after drying will take the form of small cracks. Using a regular spray varnish - you will get a drawing of the same type, but without cracks. After all the actions are completed - wait until the paint dries.
