Tipi multifunctional prefabricated shelving
Designer Assaf Israeldesigned an interesting collapsible shelf unit Tipi for the Joynout studio. The idea for such a piece of furniture arose during the designer's year-long journey around the world. The wooden shelf unit contains the main element of a nomadic lifestyle - the ability to easily and quickly disassemble the system, fold it, transport it and reassemble it in a new place. This model, of course, is not distinguished by its compact dimensions, but it is quite possible to make a smaller copy to order.
The Tipi modular shelving unit is multifunctional,can be used as a workspace, dining table, bookcase, open wardrobe, tool rack, etc. Multifunctionality is a valuable feature of furniture for small spaces. Such a storage system is suitable for both private use in apartments and houses, and for public places - waiting rooms at train stations and airports, libraries and cafes.
A cone-shaped structure resembling a frameworkwigwam, allows you to easily install shelves without rigid fixation. The diameter of the two holes on the sides of one shelf is different from the diameter of the holes of the other, which allows them to be located at different heights relative to each other. To ensure that both cones have the same base diameter, round shelves are screwed in two places with bolts, which hold the overall shape. You can put baskets for things in an ethnic style and pots with indoor plants on them.
