Make your own baby hat pattern. The presented instructions will tell you how to make a bright and funny baby hat using fleece. First, let's figure out why we use this particular material. Fleece – This is a very light, soft and delicate material, which is also anti-allergenic. In simple words – it is a synthetic “wool” made from polyester. Products made from this fabric are always light, but durable; they retain heat well inside, thanks to the large volume of air contained in the “air chambers”. As you can see, fleece seems to have been specially created for small children. Despite the fact that fleece does not absorb moisture, it quickly conducts it. In any clothing made from this material, the child will not sweat, because the fabric allows the skin to “breathe”. and keeps warm inside. Another advantage of fleece is that it can be washed easily and quickly, and the fabric still remains soft and delicate. The material can be selected in any color scheme, so you can sew clothes to suit every taste. There is no need to additionally process the edges of the pattern; the fabric is very easy to cut and does not fray. To sew a baby hat correctly, you first need to take accurate measurements of the child’s head. Grab your head so that the measuring tape runs along the forehead and back of the head. This is how we get the head circumference value. Then measure the distance from one ear to the other, passing through the top of the head. Now we have a cap depth value. For a standard headdress for children, these measurements will be quite sufficient. The first version of a children's hat. It can be done in fifteen minutes. There are two options for patterning such a hat. For the first one, we need fleece with the following width: hat depth + lapel width + two allowances of two centimeters each. The second option requires fleece width: hat depth + lapel width + width for bubo + two allowances of two centimeters. Let's cut out and sew the side seams. After this, turn about seven centimeters inside out and stitch to the edge. Now you just need to assemble the top of the cap.For the first version of the hat you need to collect the fabric andsew it yourself. You can also wrap the button with a piece of fabric and additionally sew it on top. Sew the top edge from the wrong side. Thus, you may end up with some kind of “Cockerel” hat. Only at the very end you need to sew on small cute ears.Third version of the pattern.A simple children's hat made of fleece. Stitch them, and then carefully decorate the lapel. It must be folded inside out, and then stitched to the edge. Additionally, you can beautifully stitch the finished product, attach an applique or an original label.The fourth version of a children's hat.Headdress for a girl. If the weather is cold outside, the child's hat should be very warm and cover the ears tightly, since they get cold the most. So, if you decide to cut out a hat for late autumn, it is best to make a double hat model with low ears. You need to build the headdress according to the presented pattern. The presented model will look perfect on a girl of any age.Start by cutting out two pieces.Don't forget that the inner part of the hat will be one centimeter smaller in head circumference than the outer part. Sew the side seams of each piece. Having placed them facing each other, stitch it to the edge along the bottom edge. For a hat model with ties, you must first baste them to the ears of the hat. After this, turn the hat inside out, steam its bottom edge, and then carefully stitch it from the front side. Now you just need to tie and form a bubo. That's all, the double cap will now reliably protect your child's head. The fifth version of the pattern for a children's hat. This model is similar to the previous pattern, only this one is suitable for both girls and boys, and there is no large bubo, and the bottom of the hat is cut out according to the shape of the child’s head. This hat has two pattern options. First option. Fully two-layer cap. For it you need to cut out two parts. Again, do not forget that the outer part of the hat should be one centimeter larger than the inner one. Sew the top wedges for each piece. Place one piece of the hat inside the other, right side inward. Then stitch along the bottom edge of the hat, leaving a distance of eight centimeters at the back of the head without stitching. This is necessary so that you can turn the hat back onto your face later. Don't forget the ties. They must be basted to the ears of the hat in advance so that during stitching they are inside the parts. Now all that remains is to simply turn the hat inside out and manually sew up those eight centimeters that we previously left on the back of the head.Second option.Only the bottom part of the hat will be two-layer, and the bottom will remain single-layer. You can cut the model in two different colors. To do this, you need to cut the pattern into two parts – top and bottom. Next, make two parts with a fold for the bottom part, both internal and external, as well as one part for the upper part to make four wedges. Sew the lower parts of the hat along the bottom edge, do not forget about the ties. Sew the wedges with a seam that should run from one ear to the other. Sew the entire piece with wedges to the outer bottom of our hat. Then sew the side seam, the one at the back of the head, so that it connects the bottom wedges along the entire hat and the two parts of the bottom, both external and internal. All that remains is to turn the inside of the hat inward, and then carefully and beautifully sew the edge of the inside of the product to the seam between the bottom and top parts.
