Nuts, grains and fruits: Christmas wreaths with their own hands
Goodbye autumn, long live the first daywinter! New Year's holidays are just around the corner, and the harvest autumn is still not far away. Today we will look at ideas for creating your own non-standard Christmas wreaths for the front door using generous gifts of nature. To work you will need the following basic things:a circle of any material (foam, wood, plastic, straw), grains (nuts, beans, acorns, chestnuts, seeds), glue. For decoration, you can use spray paints, glitter, ribbons, tree branches and anything else you have at hand. Here is a cute salad wreath made of acorns. Using it as an example, we will look at the standard manufacturing technology, which is actually very simple. The main thing is patience and perseverance!
We collect grain and nut material in a container,If necessary, rinse it. If there is a suspicion that insects may live in nuts, grains or acorns, it is better to pre-roast them in the oven for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 300-350 degrees.
Let the acorns cool and you can startdirectly to making the wreath. As a basis, we take what you have of a suitable shape. In particular, for this wreath of acorns, a tightly twisted bundle of straw is used. Here, carefully, one by one, we glue each acorn in a certain direction so that the layer of nuts covers the base evenly, in one layer. For work, you can use any suitable glue, for example, a hot glue gun, assembly glue "liquid nails", "Moment" and others. As a result, you will get such a "harvest" wreath:
You can leave it in its natural color and appearance, orYou can take a can of paint and paint it in all the colors of the rainbow, adding along the way decor in the form of beads, glitter, candies and fir branches. Don't be afraid to combine different materials, even if they seem incompatible at first glance! Be bolder - and the result will not disappoint you! In the meantime, here are a few standard "monochrome" examples of nut-and-grain wreaths.
