How to weave a Christmas wreath for a festive decor? Step-by-step instructions and photos, a list of necessary materials

Did you know that out of the many different coloredrubber bands can be used to weave not only bracelets and other similar decorations, but also no less original figures. Moreover, it is also not difficult to do this if you master the basic rules and strictly follow the weaving technique. As auxiliary tools for making figures, they also use a special machine, a slingshot, a hook or suitable improvised means (pencils, forks, a comb, fingers). I suggest that we try to create something similar. And considering that very soon the most beloved and long-awaited New Year and Christmas holidays will come to us, we will weave a traditional Christmas wreath. Such a small figure can later become an original Christmas tree toy, an unusual themed keychain or a stylish decoration - a pendant, earrings, a pendant. You can also present such a cute wreath as a gift to your family, friends or colleagues, thereby raising their pre-holiday mood.

Necessary tools and materials

So, to weave a Christmas wreath from rubber bands we will need:

thin colored rubber bands of red, yellow and green;
slingshot;
hook.

Description of work

1. We take our slingshot, turn it so that the oblong deepened holes are facing us and we throw the first green rubber band onto the right post in three turns.2. Next, take two more rubber bands of the same green color and place them on both posts of the slingshot at once.3. Now, using a plastic hook, carefully remove the first elastic band, consisting of three turns, from the right post to the center of the top pair of elastic bands.4.After that, take one red and one yellow rubber band, connect them together and wind both of them on the hook three times at once. This will be the first traditional Christmas flower - poinsettia, of course, in nature it has a slightly different shape, but the combination of colors is the same.5. Then, using a crochet hook, remove the top pair of green rubber bands from the right column and carefully pull the skein of red and yellow rubber bands onto them.6. After this, we return the green rubber bands that were previously removed from the right post of the slingshot to their place.7. Take another pair of green rubber bands and place them simultaneously on both posts of the slingshot.8. Next, using the hook, remove two green rubber bands from the left column of our slingshot and drop them onto the middle of the top pair.9.We do exactly the same procedure on the left side, namely, we remove the green rubber bands from the left column with a hook and throw them onto the center of the upper ones, where the rubber loop from the neighboring column is already located.10.Now we form another skein from one red and one yellow rubber band, winding them on the hook in two turns, after which we remove a pair of green rubber bands from the right post of the slingshot with a hook and pull the colored ones onto them.11. Place a pair of green rubber bands on the right post of the slingshot again, thus obtaining a second Christmas flower woven into the wreath.12. After this, we put the next pair of green rubber bands on both posts of the slingshot.13. Remove the lower pairs of loops from each post onto the thrown pair of elastic bands using a hook.14.We weave a wreath of the length we need using the method described above, it should have approximately 10 flowers, but you can make the figure smaller or larger - at your discretion. And you can also weave an original bracelet using this principle, it will turn out very beautiful.15. In order to finish weaving the product, after once again throwing both lower rubber bands onto the middle of the upper pair of green ones, do not throw anything else.16. Using the hook, transfer the remaining elastic from the right column to the left one.17. Next, carefully remove the remaining loops from the slingshot post onto the auxiliary hook.18. Also put three rubber loops of the first turn of the wreath figure on the hook.19.After this, take another green elastic band and pull it through all the loops thrown onto the hook, and throw it onto the hook from both sides, just as shown in the photo below.20.Next, we pull the first loop of the elastic through the second and tighten it, thus forming a knot and a loop, by which our finished Christmas wreath can be hung on a branch of a Christmas tree or in any other place.21.Here is such a wonderful festive figure from rubber bands we got. You can also show your imagination and replace the rubber bands of colors, which in our case are red and yellow, with other colored options, it will turn out very bright and elegant.
