An original master class with step-by-step photos on the creation of the decorative tree "Heavenly Sineva".
In this master class we will make a topiary called "Heavenly Blue". I hope you will enjoy working on this tree.To make a paper topiary we will need: 1. for roses:
- bondpaper of blue color;
- gray paper;
- Beads of blue color;
- knife stationery;
- tool for quilling (or any other device for torsion);
- PVA glue;
2. for making the crown and trunk:
- balloon;
- toilet paper;
- PVA glue;
- sponge for washing dishes);
- ribbon satin, silvery 1 cm wide and about 60 cm long;
- ribbon satin, blue 1 cm wide, about 30 cm long;
- wooden stick (branch);
- a cup for the color of roses;
- plaster filler (or gypsum);
- Glue gun;
- scissors.
To make the crown of the topiary, inflate the balloondiameter of 8-10 cm. Tear toilet paper into medium-sized pieces. Dilute PVA glue with water in a 1:1 ratio and pour the solution into a saucer. And start gluing the "fur coat" for the ball.
Before applying the first layer, you can use a spongemoisten the surface of the ball where we will glue the paper. Then, blotting the paper scraps with a sponge soaked in glue, cover the surface of the ball with them. We need to glue 6-7 layers of paper. Having glued the last layer, we send the ball to dry closer to the radiator. 8 hours is enough for drying. I usually do this at night.
While the ball is drying, we will make roses using the techniquequilling. To do this, take a roll of blue crepe paper, measure 30 cm from the edge and cut the paper along the entire width of the canvas. Next, cut 4 cm wide strips across the “waves” with a stationery knife. One piece will make 12 strips. In total, we need 72 strips. Fold each strip lengthwise so that its edges meet in the middle. You should get a folded strip 2 cm wide.
Having rolled up the strips, we proceed to forming the roses. We make them according to the following scheme (taken from the Internet). We will roll up a sufficient number of roses:
Meanwhile, the crown of the topiary dried out.We deflate the balloon and take it out of the shell. We insert the stick for the barrel into the hole of the shell so that it rests against the latter, and fix it with a glue gun.
Next we start gluing (using glue)gun) roses on the crown, starting from the top. Gradually cover the entire surface of the shell. Having glued all the roses, we will decorate the trunk. To do this, we will wind and glue (also using a glue gun) a gray satin ribbon onto the trunk of the tree, but not to the end of the stick. We will leave empty the space that will be in the circle.
Now in the same way as we cut the blue one earliercrepe paper, cut the gray one into strips 3 cm wide. From these strips we cut squares 3 x 3 cm in size. We will use them to fill the gaps between the roses on the crown and design the “soil” in the circle. We will “plant” our topiary in the circle, using gypsum putty to secure it.
Using the end-to-end technique, we attach the grey squares between the roses. We cover the “soil” in the circle in the same way.
We put a rose in a mug and tie a bow on ittrunk. Here is the finished paper topiary. For some reason, looking at it, I thought: “Heavenly blue…” Thank you for your attention! I will be glad if this master class is useful to someone.
