Original tablecloth with a developing pattern
Among the portfolio of an industrial designer fromNorway Kristine Bjaadal (Kristine Bjaadal) has an original tablecloth on the table Underfull, on which spilled beverages turn into a colored picture. At first glance, the tablecloth looks quite traditional, white linen with a lightly woven pattern, but in this tradition there is a wonderful secret: a barely noticeable pattern appears when wet. Sooner or later someone will necessarily spilldrink at the table. Usually this person feels awkward and embarrassed, but with such an original tablecloth the feelings will be more positive! Everyday negative situation will become a positive artistic experience. The tablecloth will absorb the liquid and will be painted with a bright ornament.
Some spots, for example, from red wine orberry juice, it is very difficult to wash, if not taken immediately. Then there may be spots of an indeterminate color after washing. Even if it happened, it does not matter! The remaining spots form a clear pattern, as if so conceived. If, over time, the entire tablecloth is covered with stains that can not be washed, a pale pattern will appear across the entire surface of the canvas.
The design concept of the original tablecloth allowscome up with a large collection of samples. Different pictures tell different stories. In this prototype, butterflies flutter over the flower pattern of the tissue, after their manifestation a multi-layered image is created.
