A simple knitted scarf-tie for a child. Free knitting lessons for the original accessory
With the arrival of autumn, many people are thinking about buyingwarm clothes for the child. Nowadays, the choice of children's clothes in supermarkets, markets and boutiques is huge, and it can be very difficult to decide on a purchase. But why buy a scarf in a store if you can knit it yourself? This is a wonderful opportunity to show your talent, and a scarf knitted by your mother will remind your child of parental warmth and care. Knit a children's scarf with knitting needles – easier than ever, even for a beginner, if you have our article at hand. So, let's get to the needlework. To get started you will need 50 grams of anyyarn, artificial or wool (gray or blue for a boy), and today we are knitting a scarf-tie for a little princess. Please note that it is better to use a smooth thread, as fluffy and long yarn can irritate the baby’s delicate skin. You also need some safety pins. To knit a two-color scarf or with a pattern, match the threads to the main color of the scarf. The pattern on the ends of the scarf will look very good.
Cast on four loops.
Next we knit using garter stitch.
We make as many increments as necessary in the width of the scarf; in our example we have forty loops.
Then we knit without increasing approximately two to four centimeters.
Then we divide all the loops into twenty loops (fortwo canvases). To do this we use pre-prepared large safety pins. Alternately knit one knitting needle and one pin through one loop. We knit one part with facial loops five centimeters wide.
We leave the thread and also knit the second part with the face.
And in the reverse order we knit the loops from the knitting needle and pin one by one.
We again get forty loops on one knitting needle.
Next we knit the length of the scarf along the neck.Approximate length for babies: 1-3 months (38-40 cm), 6-9 months (42 cm), 12-18 months (46-48 cm), 2 years (50 cm). For older children, measure the circumference of the neck with a centimeter.
We finish knitting with decreases every secondrow on both sides: edge loop, knit two together, knit two together, edge stitch. The loops are reduced to four pieces, which are closed in one step. We hide the ends of the threads. Add jewelry or a brooch to the ends of the scarf (if for a girl). If desired, you can decorate with fringe or embroidery. Carefully tie the scarf and enjoy the work done.
Congratulations, you did it! As a result – bright, charming and stylish scarf for your child.
