Pompons of paper with their own hands: a master class
Paper pompoms - a wonderful decorationfor any holiday. Playing with color, you can make such pom-poms for New Year, Christmas, Easter, Halloween, birthday or wedding! And they are very easy and relatively quick to make. Crepe or corrugated paper, as well as tissue paper, are usually used for pom-poms. The latter option is more airy, with a slight transparency and elegance. But it is also more expensive. The choice is yours. Let's watch a master class on how to make pom-poms from paper with your own hands.
For the manufacture of paper pompons will need:
crepe paper (based on 1 sheet of format50x200 cm for 1 pompom); thin wire (for beading - quite suitable); ribbon for hanging; scissors; ruler; simple pencil; two small stationery clips.
Pompons from paper do it yourself: job description
You can make them one-color or two-colormulti-colored pom-poms. For colorful options, simply lay out several different sheets of paper to form one pom-pom. So, our sheet of crepe paper is rolled into a roll. We measure the middle of the roll and, without unrolling, cut it in half.
Now you need to unroll the first roll andfold it in half and then in half again, i.e. to get four layers of paper. Cut the edges to get 4 separate sheets - their size will be 25x50 cm. When I made a paper pompom for the first time, I made a mistake: I folded the sheet into 6 parts, and each rectangle for forming a pompom turned out to be 25x33 cm. Experience has shown that the rectangle should be much longer. The 25x50 or at least 25x40 cm option is ideal.
We cut the second roll in the same way - we will get a stack of 8 sheets. We cut off a small piece of wire - no more than 25 cm.
We fasten the sheets with clamps.
We decorate both edges of the rectangle along its long parts - we cut out petals, sharp or rounded.
We fold our rectangles like an accordion (remove the clamps in advance).
On the finished accordion, we measure the middle with a ruler and put a mark - for example, with a simple pencil.
At this mark, we tightly wrap the accordion with wire and tie it into a knot.
Wrap it on top with a ribbon, on which there will bea ready pompom is hung. Why is one ribbon not enough, and is it necessary to first fasten it with wire? If you tie it with a ribbon, there is a high probability that the finished pompom will fall apart. And we cannot allow this!
This is the blank we have for a paper pompomturned out. If you need to make pom-poms at home and then take them to the celebration site where you will have a little time, you can limit yourself to preliminary creation of blanks, and you will straighten them on the spot. How to straighten a pom-pom correctly? Let's get started. For the accordion, detach the top layer on both sides of the ribbon tie and lift them up, as shown in the photo below.
We do the same with the remaining leaves - approximately up to the middle of the stack.
Carefully turn it over, without crushing our flower to the table. Do the same manipulations - lift the leaves up.
When all the leaves are straightened out, it will look something like this.
Not very neat. It's easy to fix.You need to take the paper pompom by the ribbon as close to the center as possible and shake it well, you can help it a little with your hands to get the desired shape - spherical. Now - great.
You can hang pom-poms made with your own hands from corrugated or crepe paper where the most interesting and beautiful things will happen. Enjoy your creativity!
